Becky, you should jump into the BetPhoenix Q&A thread. Or, maybe start a separate one for Bodog if that is bad etiquette.. I'm sure members could benefit from such a forum. A lot of the questions in the BP thread are also pertinent to Bodog, now and in the future. As an industry insider yourself, I am sure Bodog customers and Covers members could only benefit further from any additional thoughts/knowledge you could share.

#4 Posted: 12/16/2010 3:28:05 PM I have been with Bodog for about 5 years it's the only book I've used. Sadly enough I've only made 1 withdrawl and it was recent. I received a check about 4 business days after requested without a problem after faxing them my drivers liscense & credit card. No complaints at all. Now I just need to start winning. |

#7 Posted: 12/17/2010 10:45:36 AM People bet for different purposes. I play for entertainment purposes only. I only bet maybe $10 a game just to give me a reason to watch. I have no intention of quitting my day job.

Hi Ken (I'm from Boston, btw!), while I fully appreciate what a great job Richard of BetPhoenix does, my job on the forums and throughout the net is different- I am a "fact checker" for BodogBrand.com and I have nothing to do with CS, promotions, etc. In fact, my main job is reporting from iGaming events and writing for CalvinAyre.com. However, if I notice that a player is not satisfied with bodog CS I will use my connections within the appropriate bodog brand licensee and get a senior CS manager to look into the problem.
Regardless, I will mention your idea to the bodog.com Head of Marketing and see if there is someone else on our side who could manage a thread of this sort.
Thank you! Becky

I think I remember seeing you were a Newton girl, right? South Shore/Hingham for me. At least we both avoided the North Shore. IMO, every book that advertises on Covers should have a Rep in the forums. I'm sure people would be more loyal to book if they had some sort of personal connection. Appreciate your reply.

#11 Posted: 12/19/2010 5:03:11 AM yep, have to admit this is the only book i will use now. dont have to worry about getting paid, and the live betting is not to bad with the occasional chance to bet a game line during the game.

#12 Posted: 12/21/2010 1:46:00 PM I think she is from Wellesley. Which means her parents must be in an uproar over her career choice.
It would be interesting to see a Bodog higher up trying to pull a Richard on here. After reading most Bodog negative posts I would imagine the thread would be closed quickly. |

Pleasure BK!! I'm from Wellesley, I adore Hingham though and have a lot of friends from the South Shore. I actually lived in Hull for a bit and am quite familiar with Hingham, what a gorgeous town.
Anyway, I can assure you that I passed on the Bodog rep suggestion to the head of marketing and he is discussing the possibility internally at the moment. I will keep you posted!
Happy Holidays, Becky

She is far from an industry insider. All she does is PR for a guy who started the Bodog brand. She has no clue about the industry outside of the stories that Calvin tells her during their pillow talk. |

So true, yet still so funny.
