#1 Posted: 8/4/2012 2:15:48 AM TEAM ATS Record O/U APF APAAustralia 3-0 0/3 74 73 Tunisia 3-0 1/2 62 90(Played US) TUSA 2-1 3/0 121 69 France 2-1 2/1 75 79(Played US) Great Britain 2-1 2/1 73 83 Russia 2-1 1/2 83 69 Argentina 1-2 2/1 86 73 Brazil 1-2 0/3 72 69 China 1-2 1/2 72 83 Lithuania 1-2 2/1 74 77 Spain 1-2 2/1 84 76 Nigeria 0-3 1/2 62 95(Played US)
Notes: Favorites are 8-10, O/U are 9-9 France is the only SU upset, vs Argentina-6 as +230 dog. China gives up the most offensive rebounds, 13 per game, while only collecting 4 ORPG. Australia's total has been 149 twice and both times it went U. - The Spain/Australia total was set 7 points high at 156 and went U. - The Aussies three games have gone U by an average of 5.5 ppg. Not including TUSA, The Boomers shoot the most three pointers. 1/3 of Australia's shots are 3's, but they are only making 22% from 3 land.
Dumb, random observation: Argentina -6 vs Lithuania, winner. Next game Arg-6 vs France, loser. Tunisia +24 vs Argentina, winner. Next game Tun+24 vs France, ????
TUSA/Lithuania total 186 is the highest yet. China/Brazil total 145 is the lowest total yet.
The last game of the day has gone over all three days. |

#2 Posted: 8/4/2012 1:58:48 PM Australia/Great BritainAustralia has solid guard play, GB doesn't (16 turnovers per game) Australia can and will light it up from downtown. Australia is has a deeper bench than GB -Aussie 22+ bench ppg, GB 11 bench ppg. Australia shoots 76 FG per game, GB only 65 FG per game.
Australia and the over 87-71 |

#6 Posted: 8/8/2012 5:02:23 AM UPDATED ATS and O/U: Australia 5-0 2-3 TUSA 3-2 5-0 Brazil 3-2 2-3 Russia 3-2 3-2 Lithuania 2-3 3-2 France 2-3 2-3 Argentina 1-4 4-1 Spain 1-4 4-1
Notes: This will be the last game for anyone chasing Australia ATS loss. In this same game, TUSA will be going for 6 straight OVERS.
OVER is 12-6 last 18 Olympic games. 8-4 OVER in games played between two quarterfinals teams (6-1 last 7). The average total of those games 153.5 (not including TUSA cause the total skews the stats). Argentina and Spain OVER last three Brazil, Russia, and Australia OVER last two The last game of the day has gone OVER everyday (TUSA has played all but 2).
4 dogs have won SU.
Lithuania is the only team left that gets out scored in the first half. Average 36-38 Spain is the only team that left gets out scored in the second half. Average 40-44
My conclusion: Spain/France UNDER 76 First Half Argentina/Brazil UNDER 79 First Half
Russia -7 Brazil +3.5 ML+150 UNDER 159 TUSA -33 UNDER 189

#8 Posted: 8/8/2012 7:39:37 AM Spain is a sleeping giant. Only three players have logged 30+ minutes in a game the entire tournament, creating a deep team with a very capable bench. This can help explain the ATS 1-4 and the 4-1 OVERS. Unless foul trouble, I expect Spain gives the Gasol's and Calderon 30+ minutes today.Ibaka has played as many as 21 minutes and as few as 9 minutes. He is 21-33 from the field averaging more than a half point per minute played. Throw in his 2 blocks per appearance and you have the most efficient player on the team.
Spain leads the field in free throws made and attempted (91-126), France 64-92 from the charity strip. France shoots way too many three pointers (30/106 from deep), Spain 29-85.
France's victory over Argentina-6 was a well deserved win, but Argentina is not Spain. Spain will grind this one out.

Both were upsets I started this thread August 4. In my post today, I updated that stat "4 dogs have won SU." Those 4 barking dogs were France, Russia (beat Spain), Australia, and Brazil. I hope I helped clear things up. |

#16 Posted: 8/8/2012 1:18:37 PM The age old question, should I keep going and risk friggin up an already perfect day? Considering the fact that I am already locked in with Brazil first half UNDER and Brazil +3.5 and +150, I am not stopping today. I had Cleveland -1.5 +172 too |
