#3 Posted: 4/3/2012 10:24:10 PM Over has hit in 4/4 between these 2 pitchers. Opening day, new stadium, weather wont be a factor, perfect conditions also for a pitcher, but I'll go with the bats and history

Hey I'm new here - I like this analysis though...how do you check pitcher history for over/under?
And can anybody clear up something for me real quick? If not I can just post in the Newbie Section, I just like this thread cause it's discussing a game happening today and I'm so psyched for opening day.
Anyway - I'm completely new to betting, so can you guys let me know if I'm doing this right?
If you bet the -125 (is that even what it's at right now?) you win $100 if 7+ runs are scored?
So are betting over/under a completely different thing that betting who's going to win?
garbage I love sabermetrics and stuff but I can't seem to wrap my head around odd lines lol |

Thank you! Yeah I'm going to put $10 on 5dimes and if I lose it all I'll lay betting to bed. I respect you guys though, do you study stats or just past odds and results or both?
Good luck this season. |

#11 Posted: 4/4/2012 2:00:12 PM I think I'm going to play Cards tt ov 3. This HAS to be the lowest they will get all year. First, new park, new team, vs. champs, Marlins will be nervous, they have to be a little bit. Second, Johnson is not going to be allowed to go the entire game, maybe 6 or 7 if he is in a grove. Say they get 1 or 2 off of him, minimum, then you get to the pen. This Cards line up is without Pujols yes, but they are still pretty stacked offensively. This seems like the bet of the night for less juice than the over. Just my 2 cents. GL!! GO CARDS!!!

#13 Posted: 4/4/2012 3:34:13 PM FISH. Johnson will dominate. I would stay away from the total. I think Lohse will probably get tagged but i could still see a 5-1 type result. Johnson goes 7+ backend of the marlins pen will lock it up. Miami starts the season in style against inferior pitching.

New Stadium = No Play Over Under .
What cappers should know : Does'nt matter what stadium...
Josh J Smokes em' Lifetime April with opponents Battin' Avg @ 191 .
True , Cards took 2011 series 6 - 2 vs Fish however half of those were decided by 1 run.
Naturally , No Fat Albert a +
Carlos Beltran + Furcal to the rescue ?
NOT
Carlos B : l6 - 28 lifetime vs JJ Furcal : 4 - 17 lifetime vs. JJ
Marlin Home boy here n' trust me...No Fish nerves issue in Guillen camp.
Au contraire...Locked n' Loaded n' perhaps over Oz pumped Ace Johnson vs Cards # 4 pitcher ...
Mismatch.
Should'nt be close.
