#1 Posted: 6/2/2009 2:38:21 PM My yard smells like a litter box. Neighbor's cats are using my yard as they prowl for birds at another neighbor's bird feeder. Before I spend money on a repelant, I'd rather just shoot them, does anyone have any suggestions? |

#3 Posted: 6/2/2009 2:44:14 PM Plant some Lavender. They hate the smell of it. Or you could sprinkle ammonia on the places they are shitting. They won't come back. |

#4 Posted: 6/2/2009 3:00:40 PM Please don't shoot the poor pusses. Throw in a little hot pepper salt with your lvander. Problem solved. |

#6 Posted: 6/2/2009 3:48:56 PM Perhaps you could ask your neighbors to keep tabs on their own pets. |

They keep animals away. when they start to break down they give off a smell that animals hate.

#10 Posted: 6/2/2009 5:39:00 PM Everything said will work...lavender, pepper, orange peels. You can buy the garbage at any home store.
I had the neighbor cats shitting in a stretch of pee gravel my side yard (as well as dogs shitting in my back yard). I bought a big can of the all natural powdered stuff and emptied the entire thing on gravel and it stopped. They hate that garbage. Now, trying to get dogs to stop shitting in your yard, well, that's another story.

#11 Posted: 6/2/2009 11:56:44 PM i've heard of setting out anti-freeze, sounds pretty bad, anyone ever do that? those feral cats can be pretty friggin mean, as in mean as a friggin possum. as far as i'm concerned they are just as wild, i know all the cat lovers on this site are gonna get pissed, but those feral cats are worthless.

#13 Posted: 6/3/2009 10:04:22 AM Tks t'all, except RickeM, wtf, shooting is quicker and cheaper) for responses. Especially MWC, I eat more fruit than an orangatan, and too much citrus peels some how screw up composting. I regurally, dig add fruit waste, schredded newspaper soak and cover with dirt = compost. A friend suggested moth balls and red pepper so I cut water bottles in half and burried them cap first and put in some moth balls, sprinkled red pepper flakes and orange peels around.
Check for update in a couple of weeks. Thanks again. |

Yeah, but Paulsy. What if the cat was pregnant and was about to have kittens? Should you pop a cop in her azz then? I'm allergic to dogs, okay for me to shoot them?

#22 Posted: 6/3/2009 7:15:56 PM I shot a cat off of the Roof of my Camaro with a 20 pump pellet rifle.
It was a big stray TomCat/Ratcoon Hybrid. No one missed it. |
