CC needs a nice layoff like Bode.......CC has ran consistent but after going all out & beating Bode over a month ago, I really believe those 2 horses need some rest.......... |

IHA off to New York for a shot at the triple crown...........Dullahan is waiting for a shot to mess with IHA's dreams of a TC.
$170 to place on IHA returned $323........... |

Didn't bet the dime, but had $400 to win and a $40 Tri Key 9 / 6.7
Had him (and Hamazing Destiny) singled and hit the P5 for .50 and P4 for $1.
Can't wait to see the price in the Belmont - cause the horse is winning the TC.

#35 Posted: 5/20/2012 12:21:50 AM I did post IHA as my Preakness pick in a thread earlier today.
Went to Monmouth for the day so wasn't able to post picks throughout the day. I had posted in Roused thread Preakness II where I tossed all the ones I thought had no shot and ended up betting $500 on the race with a $20 saver trifecta 7-9-6.
More money to be made in the Belmont because everyone will be making a case for Dullahan and Rags. If Mark Valeski runs he will be my key underneath horse, as Rags wants no part of 1 1/2 (Dixie Union has never produced a graded stakes winner at 9+ furlongs) and Dullahan looks like the typical grass/synth horse that got over the Churchill strip decent (see Went the Day Well).
I'll Have Another will win the TC.

#36 Posted: 5/20/2012 1:00:26 PM Johnny, I disagree somewhat, I think there will be few competitors and IHA (without the presence of Bodemeister) will go off about even money. We'll see.... |

#37 Posted: 5/21/2012 5:31:51 PM With Union Rags, Alpha & Dullahan all being rested horses & no Bode to tire out the other horses, IHA will have his hands full..........IHA should go off at 4-5. Im pretty sure Dullahan will close for a piece but I want to see how UR is working out before the Belmont.......... |

Looking for the upset myself with a "fresher horse" Both IHA & BODE ran fantastics races in PK Stakes and that MUST have emptied IHA tank's a bit
There will be much better $$$ making opps in Belmont with all IHA $$$ improving others payouts especially exotics when he doesn't win

Good hit man.........I was so close to unloading on him for the place bet but after remembering what happened with the Barboro injury, it scared me. I figured he would pay $4 for place, which would double my money & I could allow a horse to beat me. Either way, he paid $3.80, close enough.........
IHA wont be an overlay unless they hype up UR like they did with Bode. |
