I'm just looking for a good number that will hit as close as possible. If your looking for a total point prediction, go with something around 31 - no higher than 35.

As I said, expect a much better performance out of Alabama's special teams this go around.
Will sabans ego allow him to be smart and kick away from number 7 though? Because im telling you if he kicks it to him it's a huge mistake, even if his kicker has to shank 25 yard punts its smarter than kicking to mathieu, hes that good. |

I'm stuck against a girl in our football pool with the winnings coming down to the tiebreaker
First tiebreaker is # of LSU points
(if there is a tie on that, doubtful, we go to total Bama points)
I just called my GF who isn't much of a football girl ( ) and she guessed that LSU would score 30-40 points. Such is life for females who barely watch football in Big 12 country. |

Alabama's offense won't fare a whole lot better, but they definitely have the better more balanced offensive attack. Look for Alabama to score in the 13-20 point range, and LSU to score in the 3-10 point range. Even though I don't think LSU will score a touchdown in this game, I'll give them credit for one anyhow.
I'll call it 16-10 Alabama.

I like your analysis because I am on the Under.
I hope you're right. |

#30 Posted: 1/9/2012 1:35:31 PM Word is she is in the teens for LSU scoring. (my buddy wants to give me her scores before I pick mine, but that isn't fair).
Should I go higher than 13-19 or lower.
Guess it's best to go high and root for points. |

#31 Posted: 1/9/2012 1:39:09 PM no way this goes under this game, makes to much since, both offenses will be looking to air it out a little more this time around, expect a 24-21 type game this ones going OVER this time.

Seems like I ought to take 19, just to be safe. |

#39 Posted: 1/9/2012 2:52:38 PM let her pick first and then choose one number away from her in whichever way you think the game is going to go i'm not sure if that's going to work
anyways ... whatever you choose you will still lose ... girls always seem to win somehow ... |

#40 Posted: 1/9/2012 2:57:40 PM I think my best bet is 19 points...
Since my buddy who is running the pool mentioned she is in the teens (and wants her to lose); 19 seems like the safest bet. Anything above it and I win. |

#41 Posted: 1/9/2012 2:59:14 PM I DONT THINK BAMA HAS THE AADVANTAGE ON QB ---- MCARRONI AND CHEESE IS PRETTY PEDESTRIAN AND MEDIOCRE, ITS A GOOD GAME AND PLAY MANAGER BUT NOTHING MORE, ON THE OTHER SIDE LSU HAS AN EXCHANGEABLE TYPE OF OFFENSE DEPENDING ON THE SITUATION, THEY CAN PLAY AN OPTION WITH JEFFERSON OR A CONVENCIONAL OFFENSE LIKE THE BAMA HAS WITH LEE, AND BETTER SPECIAL TEAMS
