The Green Smokers took over 1st place by putting a beatdown on the Blue Crushers 11-3!. The Crushers return to the Penthouse was ruined by the Smokers 1B Mark Teixeira who hit 3 HR's while batting .435 with 9 RBI's. With the victory the Green Smokers now take over 1st Place with a comfortable lead over the appropriately named Always 2nd Place. _______________________________ CHAMPIONSHIP ENDS DROUGHT WITH VICTORY OVER TSSAJOS 8-6!
The Championship got back to their winning ways with a close victory over Tssajos. The Championship had great pitching recording 81 K's for the week. Gio Gonzalez led the K parade with 19 K's and a 1.38 ERA while posting 2 W's for the victors. ________________________________________
CALIFORNIA BEARS DEFEAT FIREBALLS 8-5!
The California Bears ended their slump and continued the Fireballs slump with a hard fought victory. The game was closer than the score indicated. The Fireballs simply couldn't handle the Bears well balanced attack. Although it's still early in the season, the Bears are putting together a well balanced team that should be a contender for the league title. _______________________________________

Tough call at this point but I think a long look at the Under is something to consider. OKC got some late baskets that they normally wouldn't have hit if the game was still in doubt. Let's see how the line moves tomorrow. |
