I'm going to take Detroit on the ML and -1.5 for a good amount, but one idea is to hedge by taking the Yankees moneyline and the Over. No way the yanks win a tight low scoring game with this pitching matchup you'd think.. Yanks and the over parlay pays about 4 to 1. 

Haven't decided yet, but did something similar with the Packers/Texans game and it worked out great (Pack ML + Over paid 4 to 1).

At such a big line I take the Yankees and hope they can pull one out of their arse or layoff. But my gut tells me they are done and this team is NOTHING like the teams that used to come back and win. They are really lucky to be where they are IMHO.

Verlander has won 10 straight home starts, last loss, June 3rd v. Hughes, longest streak of his career.

Dog is 15-10-1 according to covers odds in the PO's

No way in hell Verlander lays down in this spot.Look for a let down somewhere else cause it's not happening this evening.I love these Yankee backers cause all that means is i can go ahead and drop a bomb!!Staying away from O/U but gun to my head i would lean Over.Detroit is due for some heavy runs and Hughes already pitched his gem.

Yanks are in deep crap.  All the Glory Days supestars are gone.  The overpriced replacements are sucking.  Seems like an easy one...

That said, I would rather throw a flier on +165 with their talent, then lay -175 on detroit who could easily be over confident at the plate.

Verlander will do well, but I can't lay that juice on a focused team with equivalent talent at  +165.

gonna take the value in taking the yanks tonite..they cant slump forever too many good hitters for the yanks to just lay down. i know verlander is a monster but look for yanks to put up a fight
