#678 Posted: 5/9/2012 11:06:20 PM interesting stat... the Giants lead the league in fewest pitches taken per at bat... that's the kind of stat that has got to drive a manager crazy!! Nothing worse than a bunch of hitters that are dying to up their average and swinging at questionable pitches early in the count

I think part of that may be the fact they just suck. Pitchers throw strikes to them knowing they aren't going to beat them and are not scared of anyone in that lineup. |

#681 Posted: 5/10/2012 10:09:27 AM What happened to lincecum? Is he having a bad run? Some bad luck? Or is he just mot as effective as he used to be, like the guy used to be unfit table, now he is mediocre. I think I read an article way back that was saying his small frame and violent delivery, is just a recipe for disaster. |

#683 Posted: 5/10/2012 10:20:22 AM Reading some articles and found this to be funny and true.
Simply put, fantasy baseball IS the "Old-Man Game". Fantasy football rewards random plays and last-minute injuries with unexpected (or even undeserved) victories. Fantasy baseball is a grind.

apparently he has shed some pounds which can affect pitchers, but he was still hurling them in there with his spastic release at around 90-93 mph til he was chased from the game in the 5th or 6th... some guys just have a bad year i guess.... our boy halladay having a rough past couple starts... both are great pitchers though and will come back around... lincecum had some REAL dirty stuff a few years ago, especially in the championship run

Ah just couldnt do it. The places that ball has been. You know its already been rubbed up in mud before going into play. Im sure the pitcher has licked his fingers at least 5 times before that ball went out of play. You know the catcher and pry the pitcher adjusted their balls at some point during the game. They are always picking their nose in the dug out. The possibilities go on and on haha. |
