#4 Posted: 5/20/2012 10:45:29 PM point spreads are a totaly different game, although everyone has different opinions if you ever wander back i would suggest to stay away from numbers like -190,they can hurt! hope you kill them with the remaining nba! good luck! |

Never a good spot to lay -200. If you like a fave this huge in pucks play the some sort of PL, regulation, -1 -1.5. Gotta get that juice down. |

#10 Posted: 5/21/2012 1:02:58 PM You guy's seem to be centered on the JUICE. the JUICE is not a issue as long as your on the winning side. had i took LA on the PL I would have still lost!!! Ok i would have lost less but that's not really the point. At least it's not to me the point is to get the BEST POSSIBLE TEAM IN THE BEST POSSIBLE POSITION TO WIN THE GAME ...THEN ELIMINATE ANY TYPE OF SPREAD SO THIS TEAM JUS HAS TO WIN!!!!
Now if someone wanted to tell me that the King's away record is better than thier home record and that with thier backs agianst the wall the coyotes might not be a easy win THAT"S KEY INFORMATION... but as you can see I KNEW THAT ALREADY!!!! LOL GOODLUCK GUY"S IM SUR THE KING"S WILL KILL THEM NEXT GAME!!!! |

#11 Posted: 5/21/2012 3:36:55 PM You lay juice like that you will never come out in the long run. Juice is always an issue, unless you have your Back to the Future sports almanac with the winners from the past 50 years.
You want to lay an average of -200, then go ahead and pick 66.6% winners to just break even.
Come on.....I dare ya.

I'm with Lippsman. learned that the hard way years ago. may work for a time in playoff situations where there are a limited number of games BUT don't try in in NHL the regular season, you will get buried.
ref: http://www.covers.com/pageLoader/pageLoader.aspx?page=/data/nhl/trends/league/season.html fav's were 57.47% over all and home fav's 58.98% on the moneyline this season and THAT was unusually HIGH. over the past two decades since I have been in Las Vegas, it's more like 54% |

First understand i don't really wager on hockey...2. I'm a spot bettor so I'm looking for the situation to be in my favor..which up's the probability of winning my wager, once I eliminate the points or the puck from the equation makes it all work,, WILL IT LOSE HELL YEAH...WILL I LOSE MORE MONEY THAN I WOULD HAVE minus the point's or the puck....HELL YEAH.. but its a risk I'm willing to take cuz nothing suck's more to me than to pick the game right but lose by the pts!!!! |
