#1 Posted: 7/2/2012 4:44:22 PM Radulov to CSKA Moscow for $9.2 million per year. IF he's worth THAT much to the KHL "Oligarchs", then HOW much can "Seaman" Semin pry out of them?
BOTH Ovechkin AND Malkin have to look at that and think "Svyatoe Dermo" (Holy garbage!!!) |

#5 Posted: 7/3/2012 11:23:08 AM That should get him a nice downtown Moscow apartment in one of the old Party Apartment buildings. They are for bigshots with money now.
I watched a show once that included a bit on those buildings. Those complexes were built so that you never had to ever leave it. Had it's own stores, subway stations, etc, etc. They said that 90% of the people that lived there eventually got arrested by the State for one reason or the other... including Stalin's neice who he had sent to Siberia for a nice extended sentence. Many of those that were arrested were never seen alive again. Only the Party elite could live there. His way of keeping his friends and enemies close since they were the same to him. What a friggin way to live... It's gonna be that way in the USA someday... soon. |

#6 Posted: 7/3/2012 11:48:46 AM Good riddence to him. The Preds will be a much better unit without him and his piss poor work ethic and attitude. The guy plays a great ONE way game.

#11 Posted: 7/7/2012 4:39:57 PM To be fair, Radulov is *the* guy in the KHL. MVP and scoring champ the past few years and just entering his prime. He probably has a lot of intangible value to a team over there (sponsorship deals, etc.) that he wouldn't in North America.

#12 Posted: 7/8/2012 12:38:57 AM malkin or ovie would probably command over 15M a season. very surprised to see them play over in the NHL. i guess the cup does mean more to a hockey player then money.

You are confusing Alex Semin with Alex Radulov!
Radulov plays very hard on and off the ice!! Any team would die to have that guy on a team. He clearly outplayed Datsyuk in the 1st round!

#14 Posted: 7/9/2012 2:04:18 AM Cup? Living and playing in the US is a much better option than Russia, ask Evgeni Nabokov or anyone who played in Europe during the last lockout. |

Any team would die to have a selfish, lazy, egotistical piece of garbage on their team?
Against Phoenix he stood at center ice and just watched as players broke in on odd man rushes to score against his team, because he refused to skate after his man. He did not stop and start one time, but instead chose to make long, loopy, lazy, wide turns that kept him from keeping up with the play because he simply did not give a darn.
Despite knowing the immense talent he has and knowing his skill would have given them a better chance to win, the players in the Preds dressing room did not want him playing. That speaks volumes in itself.
He is loaded with skill but seems to be a piece of crap as a person. So if his team mates did not even want him on the ice with him at such a crucial time what on earth makes you think another team would be dying to have him?
Smart move on his part to go back to a lesser league, where he can take all the nights off he wants to by playing lazy, hungover hockey, and still be able to put his points on the scorecard because he can float by on his talent alone and nobody will upset the vodka in his tummy with a hard check.

Hmmm, I'm certainly a sucker then. It looked like your honest opinion to me. Typed meaning can be hard to discern. Instead of using exclamation marks maybe try lol or or ....They help to communicate a joke a bit better in typed print...If in fact you were really joking...

Cool article on all these Russians.
I still want Pens to sign Semin even though he's a lazy Russian. Maybe Malkin will motivate him....

some goofy Canadian started a rumor that the Pens were looking at signing "Seaman Semin". would be a disaster of a budget buster for a lazy no load. let him follow Radulov back to mother Russia |
