#1 Posted: 1/20/2012 5:58:23 PM I'm going with Miguel Cabrera, Albert Pujols is always the popular pick, but I just don't see it this year. I would take Troy Tulowitzki in front of Pujols also if given the chance.

#3 Posted: 1/20/2012 7:22:26 PM I believe both those guys are in similar situations, Kemp's might be even worse, at least some of the Tigers can hit a baseball. Matt Kemp should've been MVP but he plays for such a bad team... and I think this year pitchers will be extra cautious with him after the year he had in 2011.
I actually like Jacoby Ellsbury in front of Kemp this year, they both hit for average and power, and Ellsbury will have more protection in the lineup. |

#4 Posted: 1/20/2012 7:24:10 PM ehh not sold on Jacoby... huge red sox fan. I think Gonzalez has a monster year this year
I think hes a first rounder but not the #1 overall.
Kemp still has a couple of decent hitters around him.
But I think Cabrera/Kemp are 1-2 right now |

#5 Posted: 1/20/2012 7:33:56 PM Ya I'm actually a Red Sox hater, as far as being a fan goes, but after his season last year, I'm ready to believe Jacoby can hit 30 HR's and steal 50 bases in 2012.
I agree on Gonzalez, have him ranked ahead of Pujols too.
It's the Ethier/Kemp and a whole bunch of scrubs show out there in LA. Still think Kemp has a big year, but Jacoby will shock the fantasy baseball world once again in 2012

#7 Posted: 1/31/2012 11:36:04 AM A move to 3rd base will also up that value.

#14 Posted: 2/22/2012 4:14:28 PM Has to be Miggy right? Qualify at 1st and 3rd. Fielder for line up protection. Playing in Detroit as oppose to Pujols on the west coast with games in Seattle and Oakland.
I could see an argument for Kemp. |

#15 Posted: 2/22/2012 4:47:26 PM I would take Tulo just because you cant find anyone close to his numbers at SS. Hanley is close but I dont trust him.I would go with someone like Eric Hosmer as my first baseman and maybe even Youklis at 3B instead of Miggy.

#16 Posted: 2/23/2012 9:18:08 PM Have to take into consideration contract situations. Kemp was in his contract year last year, and wouldnt ya know it, has his best year ever. I expect some regression this year.
Miggy moving to third raises his value, as third base is relatively thin. The addition of Fielder provides protection, especially considering V-Mart went down.
Last year I had the first pick in my 7x7 roto league. I took Miggy, and was laughed at. I laughed my way to the championship for the third consecutive year.
