I have been connecting using my cell phone. They don't want you using it at the wagering counter and they prohibit the use of a cell phone to transmit wagering information. I don't know exactly what that means but I just keep it in my pocket when I'm around the counter.

As far as WIFI, I have seen people with laptops and even asked a guy today about WIFI (at the Aria). He said he was logging into Aria's WIFI and didn't seem to have any problems. Not sure about other spots. That's something you can explore when you come out here.

They may offer wi-fi but you may need to pay for the signal.

and that brings us to your other problem, cell phone reception inside Vegas casinos/sportsbooks is notoriously shitty.  During busy periods, I literally had to step outside to get reception, and even out there it was shitty.  3g won't work when you need it.

I see people using laptops all the time in sportsbooks.

Bling is right, cell phone service is crappy in most of the casinos and books. I see people with laptops and other electronic devices inside the books all the time. They just have rules that you cannot have them at the counter and you cannot transmit wagering information...whatever that means. I've been here almost two weeks now. Just behave yourself and no one f&@ks with you.
