#27 Posted: 4/12/2012 9:39:39 PM Make sure it is not the old standard 'dinner and a movie' do something that promotes interaction...go bowling, maybe find a place that is giving an art class, volunteer to feed the homeless at a shelter or do something for a childrens charity (you will look real good doing that!) stay away from drinking on the first date, for some women that sends up a red flag. (depends on the woman) They will assume or think you drink, you don't need to prove it on the first date, plus you won't have any behavior occur that you can blame drinking on.

No chick worth dating cares what you do on the first date as long as it's not too cheesy or completely cheap and you can talk.
Go to a decent place a cool atmosphere. I once went to a mexican place where they made your guac with a mortar and pestle right at the table. Anything that might make that restaurant a little different adds to it.
On my first date with the gal I'm with now, we went out and talked for 2 hours at a nice place. I found out she was a big fan of dive bars (we both are) so we decided to run over to a local dump and play a few games of pool. She loved it. But I didn't suggest it until she told me she was into it and the date seemed to be going really well.
Plan for something short and sweet focused on getting to know each other. You can morph it into going somewhere else if it looks like things are going well and you get a vibe that she'd like to extend the date. |
