#1 Posted: 10/4/2012 8:40:02 PM Ended the Regular Season 243-228-2 (+14 Units )
Early Picks
Giants (Sat) - 116/100 - The Reds have struggled to score runs the last couple of weeks and I see no reason for them to break out of their slump against Cain. Cueto has struggled the last few weeks also and it really hurts the Reds to be opening on the road. Give the opener to the Giants.
Giants (Series) - 100/115 - Opening at home is a real advantage for the Giants here and I like their chances to win the series.
Not much value on the WC games unless you take the RL and I am not sold on that idea yet.

#2 Posted: 10/4/2012 8:43:34 PM Agreed, i think -116 on the giants is an absolute steal and +1157 for the series. The reds are a good team, but even though the giants pitching isnt like how it was 2 yrs ago, they have quietly been getting hot but nobody in the league has noticed. |

Because they have the edge in every category, but maybe starting pitchig.......but the Reds can be just as dominant at times at that as well. |

That's a skewed perception. The Giants are the overall better team and are MUCH healthier, which plays a big part. Many people picked Giants in the world series before the season started, and they outperformed those expections I beleive. Cain has never allowed an earned run in the playoffs, which spans like 3 games and 21 innings.. |

Reds are perfectly healthy right now. Some guys missed some days, but that was only because they had things wrapped up. Reds have actually faired well against Cain and Cueto is more then capable of shutting down the Giants. Giants are also without one of their best hitters during the season and Reds have BY FAR better defense then the Giants. I see a close series and the teams are fairly evenly matched, but that is when intangibles, defense, etc. play a big part in deciding games. I think the Reds win a close series personally. |

Justa heads up. Cueto struggled for like 2-3 games, then found a mechanical flaw on video and has been lights out since then. It wasn't a physical thing at all. |

#14 Posted: 10/5/2012 1:49:13 PM I took the Giants because I am worried about the Reds offense that has disappeared the last few weeks. Sure they have a great record but you have to remember they play in the weakest division in the NL.
.If they can't score then it leaves them without their best weapon in Chapman.

#15 Posted: 10/6/2012 5:49:32 AM Giants +115 series. Cain in postseason has been lights out. Bum at home will be great. Latos should beat Timmy whoever Boch throws in Game 4 vs Homer {maybe Vogelsong} to steal a game thus saving Cain for next series. |

#16 Posted: 10/6/2012 7:39:28 AM Cain vs. Cueto......... Wow, what a game it's gonna be!!!
Which team has the best bullpen?
I like Chapman a lot. He's like automatic for CINN these days.

All other arguments aside the Reds can't hit a bull in the behind with a banjo these days and Cain is a gamer. Edge Giants, today and series BOL cjm2008
