Denver won the battle of the boards tonight and that is what I have always said this series will come down to.  Whoever wins the rebounding battle will win the series.  That is the SOLE reason tonight was not the closeout game is because LA was +10 in rebounding in Games 4.

Any thoughts on the Memphis series.  I really think Memphis has stepped it up the past few quarters.  CP3 and Blake flopping will only go so far.

It is now after this game. I expected DEN to win but not in a beatdown where the Lakers looked like they didn't give a darn and just couldn't match the intensity level. Think about it, guys like Jordan Hill, Steve Blake, Matt Barnes, etc. are getting legit real playing time for LAL. That's ridiculous, those guys are garbage. DEN is far deeper.

With watching Bynum joke around in the post game like he thought this was funny, man... If he and Pau pull a no-show in Game 7 like they did here, I wonder if Kobe kills them on the court or he waits until they are back in the locker room.

I will not be surprised at all to see DEN win on Saturday. I expect the line to be LAL -4.5. Super excited to watch that game and root for you to hit your series price, +500 is just a great cash obviously.

I think having Artest back hurts them more than helps them, they have to reintegrate him offensively into the game when they are already struggling? One of the things Bynum said in the post-game interview was that (a) he was unhappy with the number of touches he got and (b) he was pissed that he didn't play at all in the 2H. That's supposed to be the guy that needs to have a monster game to match the intensity of Faried and Mozgov (who is surprisingly tough, has pretty solid hands) who play hard almost all the time?

If either Gallinari or Afflalo puts up over 20 in Game 7, I think that DEN can pull it out.

I think your money on the Nuggets is speaking here. He made an honest enough attempt at the basketball to negate a flagrant II. That is the rule. Sometimes there is incidental contact to the head when trying to make a play on the basketball. No evidence in this case to say otherwise as Kobe did make contact with the basketball.

They sure look like they give a f*** more than the Lakers bigs do, huh? The more I watch Faried the more I absolutely love his game. Relentless to the ball, he had like three plays tonight that made me just shake my head and appreciate guys who play the game hard and just grind

I agree that Artest back will only hurt them. He could slow Fareed down a bit though so he might not be totally counterproductive.

NBA does have the ability to chance a flagrant I to a flagrant II - and I would guarantee that would happen to almost anybody but Kobe after the game and be suspended.  You can't get much more flagrant short of actually fighting in this instance.

Why can't Artest guard Fareed? I don't understand why that is so ridiculis. It's not like we've WATCHED six game previous where Artest was present right?

Man guys don't even know the rules and are trying to make a joke out of me? OK.

Obvious flagrant I. Kobe had nothing to do with it.

Well, Gasol woke up in front of the Laker faithfull, confirming that your basis of controling the boards was the key to victory after all. I think you underestimated the return of Artest and the degree of difficulty to climb out of a deep hole following game 4. But hey, what the hell

You can't tell those two anything except what they're fixated on. They both discounted any plus for L.A. with Artest on the court and see Kobe going strictly for the head, hoping he'd miss game 7 by suspension.

Good to see a few others here with some sensible input.
