Notes: -Laid off the Cardinals today on a line that I thought was ridiculously high, oh well it's nice to have a good feeling after last year's start to bases when I was -20U through the first two months before barely turning a profit -No futures this year after the Rays under looked great until a great run by TB -Hoping to take the momentum from a 9-1-1 NCAA tournament into MLB where I plan on playing a lot of dogs in ugly spots like I do in every sport

-Tommy Hunter has great control and had a great spring despite the back issues he always seems to deal with because he's a big boy. Meanwhile, he faces a stud known for his inconsistency. Liriano has great stuff but he can't keep it together and the Twins may fight the Astros for the worst team in the majors. The O's have homefield and the better lineup/closer. The Twins are on my fade list big-time this year and this is a soft price for a pitcher who can be as good as Hunter can at home. Boston ML (+102) @ Detroit
-Beckett had all the chicken-n-beer stuff thrown at him as the ringleader last year, I think that motivated him in the offseason. The Tigers are the darling ever since they signed Prince, but Beckett has dealt with lineups like this each time he plays the Bronx Bombers so I don't expect this to intimidate him at all. Closer is obviously an issue for the BoSox, but Aceves can get people out. Coming into the game to bail out Melancon in a game-over situation was too much for anybody really, but I have confidence him getting outs at any point of the game. The Red Sox lineup is better than the Tigers as a whole, their OF has a fill-in right now but I like the makeup. Fister is a guy who is going to regress this year and this is one of the best lineups he'll face. Papa Grande showing some weaknesses blowing the save in game one was helpful, I don't have much confidence in the full Detroit bullpen either so I'll take the better starter and lineup.
