I didnt hive up on them. There are only a few teams that I would take 17 with against Bama. Bad weather doesnt really affect my thought process. Its field turf, so its not like they are going to be muddy and not be able to run. All this does is limit Mizzou even more offensively and probably create another fumble or 2.....Also, the weather will take the crowd out of the game somewhat....
They will show up saturday, no doubt. I expect a good first quarter. Then reality will set in. 75% of Bamas team will be playing on sundays very soon. Both lines are beasts and do not commit penalties. Most of Mizzous offensive line are freshmen or walk ons. Men vs boys. Mizzou recruited to play vs Texas Tech and Iowa St.....not Bama

#130 Posted: 10/12/2012 1:55:08 AM Hey Train, I've been lurking for a while but haven't posted too often. I respect your opinion so I was wondering what you think of this. I'm doing a 4 team teaser, risking 6 units to win 5. I would appreciate any advice you have. The only one I'm nervous about is K-State.

I like Mizzou D better and they are home. 17 in the SEC? Not even if it were Vandy.
Maybe Vandy

#133 Posted: 10/12/2012 2:11:42 AM One think as far as heavy chalk: I would much rather give it on the road if I was crazy enough to do it. Once the home crowd loses interest in their crappy home team, the blowout then becomes a real possibility.
However, at home, heavy favorites seem to regularly lack focus, as they know they are supposed to win big. |

Looks pretty good. Always scary on number like 6.5 though. You could branch out and possibly add some nfl . Just a thought.

I wouldnt be as happy with those numbers as the line has moved the opposite way in all of them. I like Iowa at a td and fg better than 9 obviously in what should be an ugly game. The favorites should still cover those numbers if they cover the original line, just might lose one that woulda been a push if it falls on the exact spread. However, I still think they are all winners.

I don't think this team is as good as last year's either but dfensively they are much better than I thought they would be at this point. The OL hasn't been dominate but teams are loading the box and the offensive staff seems reluctant to cut it loose offensively. I think the off week was great for self evaluation and I believe that Bama will come out and play its best game since Michigan tomorrow. You say Bama is not as good but they are still better than everyone else. There are a couple of teams that could cause them trouble but a team like Oregon, who is a tough matchup, would have to play Bama after Bama had 4 weeks to prepare. |

Not sure why everyone thinks Mizzou is an SEC caliber squad. Just because the higher ups made a money decision doesnt help the kids on the field.

Does look fishy, but I think the linesmakers are just being stubborn. Geno aint gonna lose this game, TT is gonna have to win it.
