According to my PR's (Statfox Outplay Factor style), Texas/San Antonio is 1.8 points better. Currently the line is at - 1.5. Inspite  of a losing record, the Roadrunners have played tougher opponents.Rice 's 3 wins have come at the hand of Kansas,Florida Atlantic and Tulsa. In fact they had to struggle to win the last 2 against FAU and Tulsa. Couple that they are on the road, and that trends "overwhelming" support Texas -SA, I am tempted to take a small wager on them. Currently ,the Covers team experts like my team 60/40 % .

Rice wins this game in a blowout...reference the Houston v Rice score, then reference Houston v UTSA.   Yes, may not be a direct correlation and the RRs are well coached with Coker, I just think Rice is more talented, and overall better coached than UTSA.

Rice -2

Rice -2

Rice's offense hasn't been "smoking" anyone this year. In another scenario, I see the possibly of a close win by 5 or 6 by Rice. I was on the other side with FAU getting 14 a week or so ago. I certainly wasn't impressed by their performance. Rice's toughest opponent (a loss) was back in week # 1 against Texas A & M. Anyway GL!

There's not a doubt that schools like Oregon, Texas, Georgia , Rice have recruited very well the last couple of years. There's further no doubt that the caliber of players on Texas-SA are basically nobodies. That being said, given the talent, teams like Texas and Rice have been basically underachieving, and schools like Florida Atlantic, Georgia St, and Texas (SA) have been breaking their butts to win games with a bunch of nobodies!

Rice get their best offensive weapon back this week in RB Charles Ross.

If Rice could just pass the ball a little better we'd all feel a lot more comfortable with this one.  Anyway, my power rankings have Rice as +2 in this one and since UTSA has moved from +3' to -2 I will most likely be taking the road dog in Rice.

I see this line and wonder if Rice has much better talented players, why was TSA fav earlier this week and now only getting 1.5?  My records show stability wise these two teams are even, power rating wise Rice is about 18 points better.  But, teams with high stability (Texas SA) getting 1.5-2 points are 16-5 ats over past 5 seasons.  I see that the better play here is the home team Texas SA.  gl

What a horrible game to watch.  Luckily my cable company has provided me with way better options.

Go South Florida!
