#151 Posted: 2/10/2013 9:19:11 PM Nuggets tonight at half-1/2 need to get withing three to cover for the Nuggets one OT- still tied two OT- still tied Three OT- Nuggets down two with the ball, miss, here comes the foul for FT and the chance to lose, but they cannot foul. Time is running out and Jason Terry breaks to the open court, Nuggets have given up but will Terry get the dunk?
Lays it in with 0.3 seconds left to just go over the number. Yikes |

1) Stop dating 14 year-olds
2) That's not a bad beat, that's bad judgment. |

#160 Posted: 2/27/2013 11:34:36 PM I've got everyone beat....heavy money on Oklahoma -2 over Texas tonight. Spooners up 22 at one point, let the horns back in the game only for them to tie it going into OT where they lost it! Up 22 and you blow it! F****** Lon Kruger! That's what you get for bailing on the rebels b****!!! |

Miracle thread is good idea but the bad beat thread carries a very strong message -DO NOT risk it all (or substantially more than any other play) on a single play because even the unthinkable becomes reality. Games like these in this thread can turn 5-1 nites into losing nites rather than nice profits Also note how many parlays got killed from these type of plays makin losers of all the winners in the parlay because of one game.
We all love the rush, the excitement, the ego battle vs the linesmaker but we are often our own worst enemy whether its lack of disclipline/poor money management/ overconfidence/chasing loses/betting too many games or too often tryin to turn toothpick into lumberyard. I was no different...but finally decided to start with defined bankroll and risk same amount, the action now lasts thru entire seasons and-while the bad beats dont stop obviously - they hurt far less than before.
garbage happens but make sure you've got bank for the next fight. There's games every day except all star break Not trying to preach just speaking from experience(ie learning the hard way) - this hobby is a lot more fun following the basic but boring fundamentals
Best of luck to my covers brothers

#166 Posted: 3/15/2013 9:45:37 PM I had Triche over 12 1/2 points in the Cuse vs. Pitt game. He had 9 at half and hit a 3 pointer early in the 2nd half. Then, scoreless. Including missing two free throws and countless jumpers etc.
That Sucked. |

#169 Posted: 3/19/2013 5:31:38 PM Missouri +2.5 @ Kentucky, last leg of an 8-Team parlay for $50 potential payout of $7500. Missouri was up pretty big and Kentucky goes on a run that included a 3 pointer were the player's foot was clearly on the line and send it into overtime and Kentucky wins by 8 I believe. Final score should've been Missouri winning by 1 in regulation, but they never reviewed the 3 point shot |

#171 Posted: 3/28/2013 7:33:27 AM Miami vs Illinois. Canes up five giving 4 at half with 30 seconds after a foul resets shot clock, so all Canes have to do is hold the ball or take the last shot. Easy cover, right? Wrong. 5 seconds left, pass goes to Johnson who has a wide open lane to the hole. Johnson takes one dribble towards the basket and ends up swatting the ball away on with his hand after the bounce. Turnover. Now 4.some seconds left and a Illinois player runs the full court and makes a layup up to end the half and screw the half cover. That's a bad beat. |
