#1 Posted: 12/13/2010 6:38:06 PM UK opened as a 3 point dog. The early action took it lower to about 2.5. Then Hartline got arrested for being a drunk
Hartline is all SEC QB. He is very good, I have been watching him closely all season. I don't see how this very fragile team can produce without him... I could be wrong.
Now UK is a 3 point dog again, with the juice suggesting it will be soon 3.5 or more. Pitt is not all that, but what they can do is run the ball with power, and I think they will dominate the time of possession, and basically play keep away and win this game easily.
UK football is on the ropes again, take advantage and fade them.

#2 Posted: 12/13/2010 6:59:34 PM Pitt's coach got fired though, and it's tough to know if that will help or hurt them..
How is Kentucky's backup QB? |

#5 Posted: 12/13/2010 7:32:43 PM Really liked UK before this Hartline thing. Anyone who has info on the backup would help. At least he has a while to take a lot of 1st team snaps and they can simplify the offense. Lack of meaningful line movement still has me thinking UK.

#6 Posted: 12/13/2010 8:39:55 PM strange / one sided post SportsFan....sure Pitt may run all day.....and win a close game.....UK in disarray!!!....on the ropes!!! > mass suicides !! top recruit Morgan Newton should start.....forced into action last year when Hartline went down in S Caro game ...started 8 games plus Music City Bowl vs Clemson.....including wins at Auburn and Georgia....Cobb ran a LOT of wildcat stuff too...as he should here.....(Fidler played some also)... ..Wildcats also have been solid in bowls....lost LY to Spiller / Ford but previous 3 beat E Caro....Fla St...and Clemson....Hartline all-SEC ?....hon. mention maybe ...he had a nice year agreed
looking for disarray?......how bout a team with NO coach.....AD has handled search for new coach / transition awkwardly....the Stache can't decide if he wants to coach bowl or not...OC Cignetti wants the job but so far has been ignored as they court Dana Holgorsen.....so....play on Pitt? * I'll take the SEC team as dog to a Big East team with no coach.... Randall Cobb and Derrick Locke in their last game should get it done

#7 Posted: 12/13/2010 10:33:00 PM My guess is that they will most likely move Cobb back there full time. You still have a good running back in Derrick Locke and a solid receiver in Matthews. I'll still take UK's D over Pitt's. Also with there not being a major line move after Hartline went out leads me to believe that UK is the better all around team. |

#9 Posted: 12/14/2010 4:55:41 PM guessing Wanny will coach since seniors want him to and has the option...win one for the stache
doesn't sound like Phillips will hesitate much to give QBs other than Newton some reps

This game is a garbage bet! Pure gamble... Joker is a JOKE, well... I'm sure he is a good guy but he is a full blown rookie!
PREDICTION; Newton will start but KING RANDEL COBB will be in the Wildcat formation 50% of the time and if you have never seen COBB...you are in for a suprise. He is a one man wrecking crew! Game can swing either way-
FLIP a COIN....

Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but I live here and have watched when Newton is behind center... good luck

#19 Posted: 12/17/2010 5:56:02 PM I never really entered into the equation of the coaching change. This all benefits Pitt. Just like Dallas Cowboys this year. Those kids are playing for spots now next spring and they know it.
As I said I live here and I work with about 20 UK alum that attend almost any games they can. All I know are taking a pass in this years bowl game, its really not a big bowl and nobody has interest.

#20 Posted: 12/17/2010 5:58:10 PM I think Newton is a better pure passer and this means you now see more of Locke and Cobb. they have a month to prepare for Hartline's loss. I lean UK

#22 Posted: 12/17/2010 6:29:55 PM I'll take your word on Kentucky but it amazes me how many times people let Pitt burn them.
That is a garbage football team, with a garbage (ex) coach, and a garbage AD.
This team has studs every year and what happens to them?
Underachieving consistently is not a coincidence.
Pitt is trash. I'll take an SEC team + the points all day.

#23 Posted: 12/17/2010 10:09:33 PM Pretty big recent trend saying take SEC teams getting points in bowls, like the post above says Pitt has to be one of the biggest paper tigers out there, they are poorly coached, soft, underachievers. |
