gotta keep a level head and get it back somewhere else...

f

that's true.  my $ time is football, was trying for basketball.  did well during the regular season, which is good for next year, maybe playoffs need to be more selective because less games to choose from.

anyways DEFINITELY the pro attitude thx

people just throwing out the 4th quarter lol...spurs were down 9 going into the 4th ok...so the bets a loss then?  its the NBA the real team took a strangle hold on the game when it mattered...they had the game covered..if one of those miracle contested 3's at the end dont go down spurs cover..but darn the cover..they tied the game with 6 min left..so at that point the cover is 50 50..and spurs were def the team who made the adjustments and played better..alot better when the game was there to take.. so say what you want but the spurs were the play..

But its a 7 game series..anything can happen from here on out...but to say that spurs backers didnt get moosed is crazy

Exactly. Why doesn't this seem to make sense to anyone else?

listen up, and do your best to actually process this...

the Spurs (if i'm not mistaken) were never covering the spread in this game by more than 3 points... they spent less than 10% of the game covering the spread (maybe less than 5%)...

if you think that scenario means the Spurs were "the play"... you need to re-evaluate what you think a "winning play" is in this business...

If the Thunder were the Right side then how come the Pro Cappers and their room full of statisticians were pretty much split 50/50 on the so-called Right side? it was probably a no-play in hindsight to be quite honest. Line should around -2.5 to -3.5 for game 2...Spurs will be the play after adjustments are made.

ok... so they were covering by 4 pts for 1 possession of basketball... while OKC was covering by as many as 15 points for several possessions... and the Thunder were covering the spread for about 40 minutes of gametime (if not more)...

in my experience, if you bet the favorite, and they are not covering the spread for roughly half of the game... you bet the wrong side...

how are you struggling to get this?

Atleast none of you bet on the under 2H 102.5... 24 pts in the last 1:57 including 14 pts in the last 22s.. That's more of a bad beat than OKC covering, which they did most of the game.

there are some stupid mother-guy on this site...

dimndimn... i agree... the 2H total was the bad beat in this game, and the ONLY bad beat in this game... anybody who thinks handicapping a game can be encapsulated in the final 3.2 seconds, should get out of this business...

Scrog... both of your posts are completely irrelevant!

Jakara... why is it that you think SJ's 2 FTs to make it a 6 pt game with 3.2 seconds left, to give you a .5 pt cover, were something that should be expected... but the 3-pt shot by Harden as time expires couldn't be capped?

the point is... had Harden not made the 3-pointer... everyone with OKC +5.5 would have had a legit bad beat complaint... and you can't have it both ways...

the best argument you can make is that either side would have been lucky to win, and therefore it was a foolish bet to make win or lose... and if that's the case, you can't make a case for a bad beat...

if you have bet enough games this will happen a fair share of times i was fortunate to pull this one out but i have also been on the losing side of some bad beats. The ppl who post about how the game is "fixed" when they lose bets like that are rediculous.  Fact is when a team is up 5 or 6 pts at the end of games there is no motivation for them to play defense against a meaningless 3 sometimes it goes sometimes it doesnt.  OKC is going to take game 2 and this series!

okc was controlling this game for 3 qrtrs and because they had 1 bad quarter and lost 1 game their chances to win the series are very small? you will see the faster more athletic team win impose its will as this series goes on.  They are 16-3 after losing a game.  Yes the spurts win streak is impressive but they havent had to play a team like this in a 7 game series. They will tire at the end of game 2 then lose both in okc.
