#28 Posted: 9/18/2012 1:25:56 PM If you don't think they effected the outcome of the game...then you bet on Atlanta. Broncos had some horrible calls and no calls. Home field advantage had a huge advantage with these refs. |

Blatant PI call when DB doesn't touch him and gave that fumble to Atlanta even though Denver had the ball. It just seemed like the refs wanted to see the Falcons happy in the Strip Club, did you see Turner get a DUI? Silly Michael.
this is spot on. However, I'm not referring to this game, frankly. Every game is a mess. I thought week one was a joke but the media sort of said, "hey, not bad." This week, even the media couldn't shut up. It'll be interesting to see if the media conglomerates get any pressure to shut the announcers up from their NFL owner "partners."
The pressure is definitely ratcheting up on the league. The refs won this week, hands down.
If this continues, I predict some event will occur that will force the league's hand. A major injury to a star player because the refs aren't controlling the game. A huge fight. Or the Kraft family loses two in a row.

I'm 7-2-1. It's not the issue.

#33 Posted: 9/18/2012 2:12:44 PM I was very patience with the scab ref up to now ...
Would you accept the NFL to have sub-par players to come in and replace 50% of the rosters for the regular season? After watching last night game, I basically have enough. I still bet on the game but I have less fun watching it. Every time a pass is throw, I was afraid of a flag will be thrown. The guys pull out their flags and shoot faster than the wild wild west cowboys.
On the other hand, greed need to be controlled on both sides (owners, and the refs). We, as the fan, will ended up losing.
