#1 Posted: 4/6/2012 4:51:35 PM I cringe at how bad this bettor plays. I am the bookie of course but Jesus Christ.
He had a 2-team ML parlay for $800, Rangers and Angels. -200 and -220 respectively.
So now Rangers won. He wants to put $250 on KC to hedge for "guaranteed money".
Basically his $800 had turned into $1200 after that $400 win and he has $1200 risked to win 545. ($1745 - 810 = 935). That what his parlay wins.
Now if he wins the parlay, he wins $685 total and if he loses, his net loss is $312.50.

lol sure. But my players are awful (finally). They'll slowly lose $100 or $200 at a time and the one time they'll go on a run (say over $1K), they'll start betting $300-500 or more! Even more if they lose one of the big plays.
Cleveland was a tilt all in bet yesterday. Bugger got so lucky!
Do you know how many time this kid blew his entire balance one day or even THE DAY of a cashout?

#8 Posted: 4/6/2012 5:49:49 PM People do this all the time at covers.
And nobody will ever understand the math behind it.

#9 Posted: 4/9/2012 1:23:28 AM He had about 16 units balance yesterday, he lost 2.5 units and today he made a play that if he loses would bring him down to exactly a 10 unit balance. I assumed he wanted to cash out.
I congratulate him on his winnings, telling him how well he did overall given the beats and that I had his money to deliver to him tomorrow.
6 hours later, he owe me 3 units! Not only did he smoke his entire balance on tilt after losing 2 units initially, he ended up making some 2nd half plays that cost him an additional 3 units. He promised never to bet on sports again. Less than 1 hour later he emails me his plays for tomorrow.
I on the other hand went 4-0-1 on my own plays and cleaned the board
Now if only everyday was like that, I'd be driving around in a Benz.
