Prospect Joined: Mar 2010 Posts: 366 Location: United States	#1 Posted: 3/7/2011 8:35:12 PM I've been looking around and a lot of places say Bellagio offers free drinks in the sportsbook. I've been at MGM before and I know you have to bet quite a bit to get drink tickets. Anyone know if this is true for the Bellagio? I'm a $50-$100 per game bettor so paying for drinks could get pricey. I have no problem giving a $20 tip right away (I've heard this on here) and then tip every few drinks. Any help would be great...I'm heading out there for opening weekend of March Madness. Or if anyone knows any other book that offers complimentary drinks??? Thanks guys

I would resist tipping $20 right away and just tip per drink because you never know when a waitress is going to go off duty. If you have a problem handling your alcohol the security will ask you to leave the book. That includes if you throw up in the bathroom and the bathroom guy notices. Just FYI. The Hilton offers free drinks. The complaints about it tends to be the service. I've noticed the waitresses checking bet tickets as well.

The guy at the counter told me to leave my bet ticket out so the waitress could see I placed a bet there. Read the nametag and call her by name. "Jackie, don't be a stranger"-and of course, tip her. The squeeky wheel gets the grease, and we all know what makes the World go 'round...........

Cougar, one thing I found out is the more you are seen at a certain sports book the easier it is. I usually stay at the Orleans and the agents all know me. I have no problem getting drink tickets (which is the system they use) even if I bet $25.00 or $50.00. Just look thirsty and leave nice tips

Veteran Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 1384 Location: Virginia	#7 Posted: 3/8/2011 6:08:25 PM 100% that bellagio give free drinks without drink tix. just get there extremely early for a seat since you are going during march madness and tip well or else you might not see the waitress again. but then again, its gonna be a ZOO there during the games and will probably be hell trying to get a drink. itll probably be better to just bet your games and go to a bar and watch the games and eat all day.

Break up your bets. The best part is that its not crowded, and you can use your drink tickets at any bar, so you don't have to wait for a waitress. We go over to the lounge area (about 50 yards from the sportsbook), and they have a big screen projection and then a bank of about 8 TVs on each side. It gets a little crowded, but no problem finding seats. There is a bar right there at the lounge, and waitresses come by at night.

Palms is one ticket per $50 and only good at the bar just off the book. Rio and Ceasars books -just have some tix in front of you and tip the server and you're ok. The Wynn is very tight about comped drinks for VP bartop play,I imagine the book is worse.
