b) what is the best sportsbook overall (atmosphere, ease of wagering, payouts)?

#3 Posted: 9/1/2012 8:30:57 AM If you are staying sunday/monday night you can get a great deal anywhere in town, especially starting October 1. You can find rooms at Hooters for $25 and be right by MGM and Mandalay. Personally I would go to the Harrahs area where you also have Ballys and Imperial Palace. Very close to Bellagio, Caesars and Mirage. Rooms in that area will range from $25-$75. Check vegas.com for best rates. |

A book with a good atmosphere isnt going to have Good NFL Lines Easy payouts are no problem, The Lines to get to the pay window are. The absolute best sportsbook for lines? or for atmosphere? You cant have your cake and eat it too

Yea if u get off the strip into northtown or certain parts of the eastside it can get pretty bad, but most tourists stay on the strip where metro makes sure the the tourists are protected.....ive lived here for 10 years and i love it, most locals i know bet at AZ charlies boulder or boulder station (but granted i do live on the eastside, so those 2 would be the obvious choice if u live on the eastside)...
GL when u come, IMO besides san diego, vegas is the best place to live or visit in the world

#10 Posted: 9/4/2012 11:50:16 AM Sam's Town has a nice book and nice rooms. Not near anything but if you are only wagering, you will like it. |

Just fuckin around man, vegas is a great place to live except for the hellish heat during the summer. At least you dont have to worry about snow or rain (unless you like that). Theres always garbage to do, plus you always have the chance of hitting big at the casino.
Congrats and good luck to you and your fiance

#14 Posted: 9/14/2012 5:00:11 PM The LVH sportsbook is practically a religious experience on NFL sundays. Don't miss their theater either, And when you go into the theater they give you a ticket for free giveaways. Last year a guy sitting not far away from me won a year's lease on a car. I thought the guy was gonna cry.

#16 Posted: 9/28/2012 9:37:18 PM The Tropicana Book (Cantor) has huge screens, is close to the cashier, but best of all, it's a 3-minute walk to MGM's book and a 5-minute walk to Hooters' Book, for your price shoppers. I know of no other Vegas strip book that is this close to two other competing books.
Now downtown has short walking distance between books for the super price shopper. |
