Lets be serious for a second here, all sarcasm aside.

Is it really Carmelo? I mean they're playing the Cavs on a b2b for gosh sakes.

I don't understand how the level of play can tank with such a good player coming back.

You'd need a new point guard too. I'm as big a Lin fan as anyone, but I have reservations that he could compete at a high level on a team that didn't have so much focus on the pick and roll.

Is Stat some god who is not to be spoken about in New York or something?  The guy is playing the CAVS and has 1 rebound for the game at half time?

This guy rarely gets it done.  Yet noone speaks abut him.

Who's fault is it that the Knicks are down 12 at the half and were down almost 20 at one point?

Is it Stat that is 2-8 with 2 turnovers?
Is it Lin that seems to repeatedly have 3s drained in his face?
Is it the help defense that is missing rotations?
Is it Carmelo? He's 4 for 8 (50%) with 3 rebounds?
Is it the bench that has missed all 6 of their 3 attempts?

You know if you had any sense its amare that is total garbage lately. He has 1 friggin rebound, cant shoot a jumper anymore. I dont know what happen to him but ever since his brother died he has been playing absolutely terrible basketball.

So you're saying a Melo Lin tandem would be more successful than a Lin Amare tandem?

I say with Melo gone Amare would become more a focal point and would be more productive.....With Melo around you've got the same problem Heat had last year always wondering who should get the ball instead of letting the play develope instead of forcing the ball to a guy because he makes $20M/yr.

I have Amare on my fantasy team. So I watch him very closely and I watch alot of knicks games. He just is not playing good basketball right now. Look at him he scores 12 or 14 ever night, he ended with 3 rebounds tonight. Game against dallas last week, he barely could hit rim on his jmpers, i felt embarrased for him.

I dont know all im saying is watch a few knicks games in full and then tell me if u think its all melo.

Trade Melo out. Look at how Denver did after he was traded. Lin and Amare should be a good tandem.

I think the Knicks would be better off trading Carmelo for an expiring deal or a stud SF on a rookie deal.

Carmelo's $18M salary can be spread around so much better.

$8M to resign Wilson Chandler, or a guy like Gerald Wallace

$5M to sign JR Smith Long Term

$5M to add to the current salaries of Lin and Fields (both free agents at the end of the year)

This sets them up long term.

Anybody know the Knicks record since Melo returned? Anybody notice the decline in Lin's performance since Melo returned?

Anyone who knows anything about basketball can see as clear as day the problem here lies either with Melo or D'Antoni. It's Lin's team now. He's proven that with Linsanity. Wins, wins, wins, that's what was happening with Jeremy Lin running "The System" - D'Antoni's brainchild. Melo comes back and immediately, the Knicks revert back to their old ways. They are a sub .500 with Melo as the focus, believe it or not. I like Melo, he's a great scorer and a great player, but he is a horrible team player. Any team he is on will suffer from his iso plays, lack of ball movement, etc. Either get rid of Melo or get rid of the coach. Can't be running D'Antoni-style high-octane offense with a guy like Melo who relies on one on one clear-out plays. The System thrives on the pick and roll and ball movement.
