#2 Posted: 4/10/2012 7:05:10 AM Feeling all of those except Heat, I went with Boston.
Whats your reasoning behind Heat? Dont you reckon Boston have played well as of late. 7 seems like a bit too much for the inconsistent heat atm, |

#3 Posted: 4/10/2012 10:56:25 AM The Heat is consistent about playing at home at the playoff level when it comes to the teams they see as a possible opposition in the later stages. Miami is playing bad away aginst those teams exercizing kind of ATS and SU exchanges. With Miami you never know what the margin going to be, but in this one yes - they're due to cover.GL
P.S. Miami, OKC and the Spurs are the teams to look for in the later stages as if they really want to - they can level any team |

#5 Posted: 4/10/2012 11:34:00 AM Also the heat can't score in the half court... which is what Boston makes teams play... the over will be close if the heat have the motivation to put this away for the revenge factor... but their d will lead to the necessary offense... just a total I would stay away from... look at the totals for the last five Celtics games ... bol w your Bets |

I understand your point with more effective Cav's in the suits than on the field, b ut don't agree with that knowing how eager the ones that will play tonight will be tom prove they're worth further contracts.
The Heat Celtics game is not that decisive to any of them and will be more of the show than a real pre-playoff game. I do not think the Celtics will expose all their tools as well I don't think the Heat yet show their tool collection. This will be a nice shootaround in the first half supported by Miami run in the second.

#7 Posted: 4/10/2012 1:05:18 PM sircharles88 thanks for putting yourself out there with the posts. the point about boston and putting their tools out there is relevant. i'm backing boston, but the heat revenge has got to be a big feather in your cap. boston has proven their point-- that they can beat the heat. miami lacks an identity. they're supposed to be a defensive juggernaut, but then they start the vagabond turiaf, an undersized center at best. i think boston is putting some clever mojo together with starting avery bradley, second best on ball defender next to tony allen (an ainge mistake to let go), and bringing a scorer like ray allen off the bench. miami's bench is suspect and norris cole hit the rookie wall in week three. agree with our new york pick. no opinion on cleveland-- they should never be a favorite at this point. |

stevenp - thanks for taking time for an extensive response. I will try to relate to your points raised: I agree about Miami lacking identity nad having a poor support from the bench. I agree that the match up decisions often are quaestionable. But, I see it as something precalculated to test all kinds of different sets on the floor. I don't agree with you that the Heat are not bringing on defensive plays when needed. I think they have the best defensive player in the league along with one of the best paint players as well as multifunctionality of many players that have enough experience to match their play to an on floor coaching which is of course applied when really needed only. And tonight - I see a Miami need to win night as they have done throughout the season protecting home. The Cavs have no choice but to show up tonight as if you read a local press you would detect the discomfort Business people connected with the team are experiencing. By my experience - when that happens - many ghosts wake up and force the play. GL stevenp |
