So the Yankees plan on him being the fulltime catcher when he gets brought up?

good luck, but as a Jays fan its pretty damn frustrating watching a below average defender at the catcher position even if he mashs (JP Arencibia).

Hope he works out for you guys

But that's what I'm trying to say. As a Yankee fan...we've SEEN a below average defender behind the plate or YEARS with Posada. It's nothing new. And every time I see Martin try to throw out a runner...the ball tails to the right of Jeter, Cano doesn't stop it, and the runner always goes to 3rd. He can block balls...but he can't stop anything.

But even though he was a liability...the Yankees still played well year in and year out.

And Arencibia is not the reason why the Jays are 11 games back. Maybe he lost you a game or 2 overall...but is that less than what he has won with the bat?

Nope JP isnt the reason why we are where we are, but once this team is ready to contend, I wont feel comfortable with him behind the plate. It wont really be a issue anyways, I think Travis d'Arnaud is the teams future catcher.

Well then to answer the real question...I feel that Gary Sanchez will be the franchise catcher...but for the time being...you have to give Montero a shot as the every day catcher in the Majors and make him show them why he SHOULDN'T be that. And Sanchez is still a ways away from the Majors...so until he's ready...you let Montero show what he's got. And that should start next season. You can't continue to stunt his growth. We're seeing what it's done by putting him back to Triple-A for a second full year after he did his part there last year. Can they really keep him in Triple-A for a THIRD straight season?

Rangers vs. Braves in the Series IMO

I'm a huge Red Sox fan but they aren't winning garbage this year- Beckett is great but Lester has been mediocre and then you got Lackey, Miller, Wakefield (on and off), and possibly guy like Bucholz coming off an injury- no way they can beat Texas who have the bats to compete and great pitchers
