These answers are the best. You must forget about the last 2 Republican presidents.

Did you forget that when Obama took office the stock market was crashing, the housing market was crashing, we were looking for WMD's in Iraq and we were looking for Bin Laden?

I ould sit here and list hundreds of reasons why Obama is awful for this country but it's not worth my time because the majority of you are only looking for handouts and freebies and it hurts guys like me who work/earn my money everyday. Simple as that.

He voted to change gun waiting laws from 3 to 1 day. Why can't you wait an extra 2 days?
_____________

And that matters why?  If the person is going to use it for no good, the no good just happens 3 days later.

I'm 44.  I have never collected 1 penny of government aid in my life. Not 1 penny from unemployment.  Not 1 penny of healthcare aid. My credit score is 800.  I have paid off my $30,000 in student loans. I have a mortgage that is up to date.  I own 1 car outright and have 1 year left to pay on another.  That is the extent of my debt.

These stupid blanket statements make you look asinine.

If anyone thinks romney has a good shot at getting elected, they are dumber than the millions of fool in this country that think obama deserves four more years.

I've met mitt romney a few times and this is the guy I'd want leading the USA into war or to a better economy which can compete with china, or to improve education which is the biggest joke of all the country's problems.
But he has not ran a great campaign and ryan wasn't a pick to help him where he was short- florida, ohio, and pennsylvania independent voters, and a few other states.
People think there are only two big political parties in this country and they are flat out WRONG. The biggest political party (official affiliation aside) is the independent party. You win independent voters and you get elected. Period.

And now the country is hoping to find change in the cushions of their collective sofa. He has been awful INTENTIONALLY.

Independents will not be swayed to vote for Mitt because of Paul Ryan and they will determine the election.

Why, it is almost as if this poster doesn't understand that Ryan's district is moderate in a purple state or something.

Of course when the top end of your "political analysis" is "they favor the rich" I wouldn't expect anything else.

You do the math...

Seven terms in the House is 14 years for Ryan, in the lower chamber, 1 of 435.

Biden served over 30 years in the Senate, upper chamber, 1 of 100.

Who is more qualified to lead the USA in the time of a severe National crisis?

Who do you want staring down a Vladimir Putin across the table
?

OMG. EXPERIENCE!!!!!!

Hey, where were you in 2008 when Obama had no experience and was running against McCain?

Oh, not making these types of comments.

That's where.

They hypocrisy of you people is comical.

Somebody tell me HOW and WHAT possible combination of States allows a Romney / Ryan win in November???

Um, Romney wins the same states Bush did in 2004.

Why are you pretending this an impossible feat or serious question?

not to pick a fight , but that doesn't sit right.

Student loans = government aid
Mortgage interest deduction = government aid
and everyone with a college degree, benefits from a government system that eliminates competition, by monopolizing job sectors. It's actually a form of rent-seeking, and it is formalized by the government.

If you vote for a politician, with hopes that he will "save the housing market" by bailing out banks and propping up house prices with taxpayer money, aren't you in effect looking for a government handout? (not saying you in particular)

You really are going to go there?  I paid interest on my student loans.  I admit I got a decent interest rate.  Our company pays hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes each year.  Are we able to do this if either me and/or my partner don't have college degrees? Oh, yeah, there are success stories where high school grads make it big, but college graduates make way more money overall and pay WAY more in taxes.  It more than makes up for my mortgage interest deduction each year and the little deal I got with a decent interest rate for my student loans.

By the way, there is an argument that they should just get rid of the mortgage interest deduction and lower the tax rate.  I'm cool with that.  It's all the same in the end.

I would have been more than fine if the government hadn't bailed out wall street or the housing market.

And be, if you want to go after someone, go after hammer22.

He's the one who is accusing the "majority" of Obama backers of wanting handouts.

The republicans are WAY more opportunistic when it comes to avoiding taxes and taking advantage of some of the things you mention above.  They just use the argument that the government takes too much anyway so they might as well try and get as much of it back as they can.  So that's OK?

Hutch, not trying to pick a fight, just read your post where you claimed to never receive 1 penny of gov aid, where you followed it up with instances where you received government aid

What is it about a college degree, that you find so important? Most successful business people i talk to with college degrees, say that the only value in our university system is networking. The piece of paper is meaningless, and that most would be better served without wasting their time acquiring it

I dropped out of college after 65 credits, because i came to the conclusion that i wasn't learning anything there, that i couldn't learn for a fraction of the time and cost on my own. It's ok to have different viewpoints on issues to each their own

It's a shame because I agree with mostly every social issue of the democratic party.  Meaning gays, abortion, etc. Except for the most important issue which is the redistribution of wealth.  It amazes me that anyone actually can agree with it.

After all the hubbub concerning the VP pick of Paul Ryan which should have been and was derided in this thread,

ROMNEY LOSES WISCONSIN, Ryan's home state....

This comment just makes you look ignorant.  WI has voted Dem for prez since 88.  Furthermore, Ryan is a rep for a Congressional District!  He's not even a state rep...
