#1 Posted: 5/3/2012 9:49:47 AM 105.7 The Fan in Baltimore is reporting that Ravens RE Terrell Suggs is out for the 2012 season with a torn Achilles' tendon. Suggs could open the season on the PUP list, but the Ravens wouldn't be smart to try to rush him back from this injury. Few details of Suggs' injury are available. We will have updates throughout the day. The Achilles' tear helps explain the Ravens' use of the 35th overall pick on Courtney Upshaw. They'll also need Paul Kruger and Pernell McPhee to step up. Suggs is coming off his best NFL season with career highs in sacks (14) and forced fumbles (7). No defensive player in the league was more dominant down the 2011 stretch. |

I guess you don't watch much football or you're just out to bust balls.Suggs was last years NFL defensive player of the year. |

#11 Posted: 5/4/2012 10:18:35 AM all suggs does is bark about everything. Gilligan don't question my football knowledge. Suggs has ray lewis and ngata behind him. I'd talk a lot too if i had those guys behind me |

#14 Posted: 5/5/2012 1:17:55 PM tough news, but should bring more value to ravens backers. ravens are 14-4 ATS as home fav vs. non-divisonal opponent. |

#16 Posted: 5/7/2012 12:03:00 AM Definitely a huge blow to the Raven's defense. Suggs made everyone's job so much easier. Wish him a speedy recovery.

Updating a previous item, Terrell Suggs now insists his surgically repaired Achilles was only partially torn.
The Carroll County Times confirms Suggs' assessment. The injury was "not as bad as some thought it was," said Suggs, who still believes he can return to the field in 4-6 months. "I'm 29 years old. I don't miss games," Suggs added. "I'll be returning soon." The most likely goal will be a return following the Ravens Week 8 bye for the Nov. 4 game against the Browns. |
