#131 Posted: 2/11/2012 3:18:07 PM lol well guys this really has proven to be too overwhelming . . . .
11 cappers, 1 thread, constant updates on the big basketball days wed, thu, sat i will never be able to keep up
to the hater that was in here earlier your correct i bow to your sir i think the name was handi capper
i will finish the updating for today and calculate the total but its really is just way to much work.
to all the people who were following the thread to get all the cappers picks in one place im sorry to have to throw in the towel. I really under estimated the amount of picks and how often they would be coming in on the big BB days. I will prolly just stick together my own group of 2 or 3 cappers for myself and track it off the site.
once again sorry for having to bow out so early but the haters were certainly right . . . . . its just too much to keep up with.
once again i will finish todays totals, update it, and then the thread fall into the depths of covers.

i am not quite sure what your point is here as i already admitted that you haters were right. LOL what am i thinking of course the haters will be back to lay on more hate.

i appreciate the offer but i really dont want to continue throwing away my saturdays in the future as well as wed and thurs.
Really its just too many cappers in one thread.
What you could do would be to track the cappers that place multi unit bets -- i think there are two and then track maybe 2 or 3 of the highest % hitting cappers who flat bet. This would be more realistic.

#139 Posted: 2/11/2012 4:46:35 PM the ones i stated are good and they are all hitting above 58% . . . . i think.
theone324 goes on crazy swings it looks like since a lot of his bets are multi unit bets. I tend to follow him only on his 10 unit plays and even with those i play them as 5 unit plays
there is another guy who makes a lot of multi unit bets that is in the list but i cant think of his name off the top of my head right now
stucky is very good . . . he rarely posts on covers anymore but he does post on twitter under stuckey2
for nba i am currently following 2 cappers. 44-dimes and bettingwizard. i forget betting wizards name on covers bc i also follow him on twitter his account name is bettingwizard. he is fairly new tho so he could just be on an extremly hot streak.

#143 Posted: 2/11/2012 10:02:22 PM Howard, it wasn't hating to warn you about what you're getting into. Do think you're the only one who ever tried this? I was going to use Nropp and the two leading in the covers contest. Of course on the day I don't play (Sunday) they all three had both plays. My plan was to have Nropp write-ups be the determining factor. If they both disagreed, a small or no play. If one agreed, a medium play. And when all three agreed, a large play. So look what happens. Nropp quit doing write-ups, and the contest leaders went bad!
So keep it simple, stick with mostly the top cappers that give a write up or will answer your questions and that way you will also become a good capper yourself if they let you pick their brain . Remember, the one thing we don,t have enough of is time so use it wisely!

#144 Posted: 2/11/2012 11:44:03 PM SHOCKER ALERT CALL THE PRESSES after 2 days its over. Man I know you want the attention but first off you are making so many critical mistakes in the first place. The BIGGEST ONE BY FAR is you are following waayyyyyyyyyyy to many cappers. I would put TROE on his underdog plays and LB and that is IT. No one else on that list is worth really following IMO. Your goal is to find 3 maybe 4 total plays including ALL SPORTS. I play 1st qtr, 1st half, game NBA plus college totals, nba totals 1st half and game just right now but I look for just 3 to 4 plays. You are putting every capper in the world up there. Also in the NBA there are much better cappers even though the NBA is harder to follow but since there are only a limited amount of teams its somewhat easier but I rarely blindly follow anyones plays. Tonight I took gg's 1st half sixer plays but I plays SA and the Clippers on my own. I ended up hedging when I had SAC and played the Suns to offset a 1500 hit. People get so caught up in trying to play EVERYTHING. I always says BET WHAT YOU KNOW. If you are not good at handicapping you will lose just blindly following people. I for instance follow the BIG XII and know it EXTREMELY WELL. So when bball or college football comes up I make it a point to know everything about it. If you try to know it all you are screwed. Like I said everyone wants to have action on all of these games instead of thinking long term. Tonight I hit SA, the clippers and Philly 1st half for 200 each and lost Sac but had a 4 team parlays that I was able to hedge to make sure I win an extra $750 either way. Then I dont sweat it. There are times like the other night when everyone was on Utah but I have an extremely good beat on OKC. I bet them a lot and used the angle of them getting the next 3 days off and not wanting to end on a 2 game losing streak. I am definitely not always right. That is why I look at other people who see things that I DONT SEE. Smartbets and 44 dimes and GG and Lawson James are very good. There are so many ways to bet games instead of trying to hit the ball out of the park every night try to hit a doube and win $500. There will be nights when it all goes right and you win big. I handicapped a college bball game 4 years ago where I put 3k on the first half and 3k for the game and the line was 8 and they were up by 30 at halftime. Sometimes those games come around it just takes patience which 99.9% of gamblers dont have. By following 15 handicappers you are just wasting time and also NEVER BET A SHORT CARD. I never bet college games on friday EVER. I also dont bet NBA when there are less than 3 games FORGET IT. Instead of trying to helpout the forum try limited the people you follow and try to hit a couple of games a day. I promise if you do that you will win in the long run which 99.9% of gamblers DO NOT. |
