#1 Posted: 10/9/2012 11:48:06 AM I don't know if it's just me but when i have a week to study the lines I can usually come up with 3-4 whether it be spreads or o/u's that seem too easy to cash. Now throw in an extra 6 or 7 pts my way and it just seems criminal.
Cashed yesterday's Hou -1.5 and over 33.5.
I like Pit +1 and under 49 for thursday.
Thoughts? |

#3 Posted: 10/9/2012 11:53:21 AM They are called "teasers" because they tease you into thinking they can't lose. You could combine your two picks Thursday with Giants +12 to in effect, parlay into bigger odds, I think Giants could lose, but not get blown out or other "sure things" on Sunday. My experience is that one result will mess you up, but bet it, if you like, just be careful using the word "criminal" - usually its criminal how Vegas takes your $. Good luck..... |

#4 Posted: 10/9/2012 11:54:19 AM Sometimes its better teasing the dog up, I had the same teaser last night but would much rather have had Jets +16.5 over instead. What if Sanchez mustered up a TD drive at the end, all it took was one broken coverage assignment..
I think most teasers hit last night because the spread and total was so close to the outcome, I would rather be on the dog side. |

#5 Posted: 10/9/2012 12:02:04 PM i love teasers...esp. that i can get +6,7, 10 and 13 this year...could only get 10s and 13s in years past which is awesome because i love to play totals w/ an additional 13 points...garbage... Easy $ w/ those on NE O's and SEA and STL games under
anyway... if you would have taken a 6 pointer anyway last night you would have one... same thing happened w/ Clev vs Balt L thurs... Atl vs Den on MNF |

#6 Posted: 10/9/2012 12:05:14 PM Great thoughts here guys. I love it! Ya I was really thinking about both sides there. In the end I was much more comfortable with Houston winning by 1.5.
No doubt it was a sweat in the end lol. |

#7 Posted: 10/9/2012 12:09:10 PM I use the 13 pt tease to cushion my bankroll. take one big tease every week... only loss this year came on that EXTREMELY UNUSUAL loss on NE's home opener to AZ... first home opener loss since 2001... So it is poss to lose, just very unlikely when done correctly.
Im here to make money... so when i win, i do whatever i can to keep it and build it and collect. Vegas has enough money they dont need mine like I need mine.

I realize they are teasers and everyone warns me but I have made a decent amount of money the last 3 years playing them. I also really like NBA money line parlays.
Its the MLB and NHL that sucks my money. Anyone can beat anyone on any given night. Too many games, variables etc in my opinion. |

Oh buddy... that game killed me in 3 different ones... only 13 pt-ers i lost all year... that was a tough one to swallow ...i belive we just needed them to win right?...like -1/2 if my memory serves me correctly
Have to spill the juice on these bad boys but worth it imo when the spots present themselves
had Houston and the over in a 13 pter and 4 x team 6 pointer...and a few ML parlays (w/ NE, SF, NYG)...so hedged the teasers a little with a NYJ to the under...and then NYJ +10 and a small ML play just in case
what a mop up last night... i love it when a plan comes together... |

#10 Posted: 10/9/2012 12:30:00 PM Teasers are definitely sucker bets, I guess that's why I like them. ThisYear has been brutal so far on 6 pt teasers. As you guys know a lot of crazy finishes and calls, might look at 13ptrs with Willi to maybe change my luk, although I did hit last night. |

#13 Posted: 10/9/2012 9:48:00 PM Teasers are sooo easy. Its like you have to feel bad winning all that money. How are those poor bookies supposed to send their kids to college? Anyone playing teasers oughtta be ashamed of themselves, it's no different than outright thievery! |
