If we want to truly be safe, we search every person in the same way. If we want to really be free, we don't.
so you admit there was a period of time where profiling did work. its nice to have you on the right side of an argument for once.

#52 Posted: 2/29/2012 8:44:43 AM @Jin - Michael Chertoff, first head of the DHS is/was a major investor in radiation scanners at airports
this is why we the TSA uses them. no different than AlGore owning a piece of the CCX and pushing global warming/carbon credit crap on us

The lack of understanding and contradiction between those two thoughts is startling.
If he is on drugs or drinking, I will give him a pass.
If not...If he truly believes an institutional arrangement where one race is treated one way in comparison to another because of their race isn't racism in itself, after saying 'racism is dead,' then I vote to have this archived and for it to be a candidate for Thread of the Year.
Ok Scab, i've asked the question before, but you never bother to acknowledge it, so let's try again.
We all know your book, you've certainly banged it to the drums often enough on here that anytime anything race related comes up, people are summoning you to the thread like Beetle Juice. What is your end game? Are you trying to educate us Typical White Males? Do you have some kind of information that i don't, that you could share? Do you hope to change someone's mind about something? You obviously feel pretty passionate about the topic, and if you view it as a problem, you have to see something as a solution, no? Well, what is it? Rather than bash everyone but yourself for being racists, why not offer up a solution?

#54 Posted: 3/1/2012 1:31:04 PM ^ I find it odd that political groups who are so infatuated with grouping people into voting blocs by skin color, fender, happy/straight, old, young etc seem to derive power from people being in certain groups
Viewing everyone as an individual with their own self interests is very dangerous for the powers that be
I cant imagine any society ever being able to legislate morality and views on other people. Not sure why we even try unless its just to gain political favor and fund raise

i think rex ryan would draft a one legged martian safety if he thought he could shut down gronkowski

#58 Posted: 3/1/2012 4:34:15 PM I wasn't talking about the general population.,I was talking about the prison population.Try adding that up...oh, by the way, racism will not go away until Jesse Jackson , his pal Al , and all the rest of them let it.Without racism, those guys got nothing !

shocking, a covers member is proven wrong in a thread, and djbrow did it to himself, and disappears when called out on it.

are the Giants owned by the Mara and Tisch family or by the state of NJ or NY? do they have any legal requirement to hire a certain % of racial or gender applicants?
the NFL mandates it through the Rooney rule but i would think it would make minority applicants feel like a token interview instead of someone who was asked to intv on the merits of their career

I think you are going insane. There is no mandate to hire a minority. There are requirements for INTERVIEWING minorities. Big difference. |

do you want the BEST firefighters coming to your rescue or a government approved diverse quota?
i would think most of us could care less if they are all black, hispanic, white, asian whatever...just be the best available person for the job
