I used to play baseball and I know how pitchers get over confident and start challenging hitters. Lewis got very lucky on the DP that would have been a single, smart shift by washington

Probably wanted to try to get him out of hte game to get ot the bullpen so they woudl have hte advantage in the 2nd game. Problem was that Lewis kept showing strikes early in the count and that forced the O's hitters to have to swing at pitchers pitches instead of looking for their pitch. This past inning it seemed they abandoned that gameplan and started attacking the first good pitch they saw.
