#28 Posted: 4/27/2012 2:02:31 PM If it was me, I would NEVER take a running back that high. One of the least important positions on the team in my opinion. If you've got a good O-Line just about any decent college running back can perform well behind it. When Matt Forte went down last year, didn't Khalil Bell come in and do pretty well in the last few games for the Bears? I've seen that more times than I can count where the starter gets injured and the backup comes in and does just as well. Shanahan used to switch running backs every year or two with the Broncos and they all did fairly well because the Broncos had a good O-Line. Adrian Peterson isn't going anywhere if there isn't any holes in front of him. The Packers traded a 7th round pick I believe for Ryan Grant who was 3rd string or maybe practice squad with the Giants at the time and he gained a lot of yards in his time as the starter for the Packers. I had never heard of him before the Packers got him although I don't follow college football that closely. |
