He wouldn’t be the first NBA superstar to pull this maneuver. Magic Johnson did it to Paul Westhead and Jason Kidd did it to Bryon Scott - and they didn't have a proven NBA head coaching legend waiting in the wings like LeBron does in Miami.
Pat Riley, the Heat's team president and former bench boss, is a five-time NBA champion as a head coach and he’s one of the main guys who convinced James to take his talents to South Beach.
The defending, two-time league MVP obviously isn’t a big fan of Spoelstra’s. Check out this rude little bump during last night’s loss to the Mavericks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYFOxa5ljc8
James also called out his new coach after the Heat’s loss to the Celtics back on Veterans’ Day.
“For myself, 44 minutes is too much,” LeBron told reporters after the game. “I think Coach Spo knows that.”
James and the Heat are 1-4 straight up over their last five games and are just 1-11 against the spread in their last 12 games.
So what’s the over/under games Spoelstra has left as the Heat’s head coach? I’d make the line around 5.5 and I’d take the under.

I think it's a few more than 5 but I'd be shocked if he's their coach at year end. And yeah, I'd agree that Lebron will be pushing him out the door. I'd say 12 games
I actually feel for Lebron. if the guy leaves Cleveland and then crushes the competition it'd kinda validate the leaving.
I know it's early but they look awful making him look even worse for joining this mess. He can't be feeling too good and pushing the coach under the bus at least gives him another brief window to get things straight in Miami before the blame rains down again.
Though if they somehow get it together and win the title, as they're certainly capable of, all is forgotten

They just need to move without the ball and set screens. Haslem was one of the only guys on that team that was gonna hustle and do the dirty work. You have to think that Beasley would have done this for you too. Maybe they just need a more established PG thats gonna demand to take the ball upcourt himself and demand to run the offense. A true center that stays on the block would also discourage a spread offense. I really don't want to place all the blame on Arroyo and Ilgauskas because I'm sure the team thought this spread offense would work as evidenced by their stern focus on defense.

I live in cleveland and lebron is such a punk-ass, he never wanted the pressure of having to make that last second shot, him signing with wade gives him the excuse to let wade put games on his soulders instead of his.
lebron is not a team player and never will be, the guy cries when he had to play too many minutes.
Karma caught up with the heat earlier than I thought

So many people are talking about replacing Spolestra...
Ever think of replacing Lebron James??? With 4.0+ turnovers per game and a ridiculous amount of FG attempts per game, maybe the problem isn't exactly with the coaching.

The legacy was killed when he did the "decision". He's trying to do too much, amazing to me how he didn't do that on a far less talented team in Cleveland, and while I agree his play is a big part of the issue we all know it's the coach who will pay the consequence. I feel for the coach can you imagine him trying to tell Wade, Lebron, and Bosh what to do. Shit, it seemed Wade just ran his own show when it was just him. Now with 3 guys doing whatever they want it's gotta be hell to manage.
