#1 Posted: 3/8/2012 8:00:31 PM Just got done on an Under yet again on OT. Have never understood why O/U doesn't pay on regulation time. Betters cap the game an O/U on regulation, books set their no. based on regulation, yet bets are paid including OT. Different story altogether with ML or ATS.
Hate it when you do the hard work, get it right (in this latest instance with 9 points up my sleeve) and have it taken from you.
Do others agree?

Because when you cap the game you are capping a team to be a certain no. better or worse than their opponent. Seems reasonable to me to include OT in this case.
Just can't see why perhaps 95% or more of otherwise winning Under bets are lost despite having capped the game correctly.

#9 Posted: 3/8/2012 8:35:48 PM Conversely why should Over bettors get a win when they have capped the game wrongly? |

No, I was on the Minn. game. Not that that matters but it is the principle I of the thing.
Naturally I am grateful for the money if I snag an Over due to OT but I honestly don't believe I'm entitled to the win.

#11 Posted: 3/8/2012 8:47:15 PM Wow, some cry baby crap flowing in here. I think if you get half pointed you should only lose half of your bet!! Hmmmm Sounds good, I will just slide that by my bookie haha. It is like people that girl about their locals bad lines, DONT BET IT, or take opposite. Hell take over on every game and you will be happy haha.

#12 Posted: 3/8/2012 8:59:22 PM That Georgetown game was a classic. Over betters get it wrong by 14 points and walk away with the cash. Good luck to them but to my way of thinking it is not right.
It's not a question of crying about it - I just think it is a wrong rule! |
