#6 Posted: 7/15/2011 10:04:45 PM thanks guys.......
so torn up about it..
I saw it when I was like 10 and thought it was awful. The wife wants to go and I keep thinking maybe im old enough to get it now but half a day off the strip of a 3 day trip seems dumb. |

#7 Posted: 7/15/2011 11:05:32 PM Its not that far from the Strip and the new bridge is a pretty impressive structure also. My 2 cents would be yeah it is worth a 1/2 day. |

#9 Posted: 7/16/2011 10:29:07 AM I would never rent a car just to go see it and especially not if I only had 3 days in Vegas. I enjoy seeing it and when I drive over it, but I found it boring when I actually went to visit it years ago, and after a few pictures I was done.
If the wife wants to go you probably should go. It'll take 2 or 3 hrs out of the day if you go there just to take some pictures. I'd pass on the tour if I was you.

I'm not sure if there are chopper rides only to the dam, it is usually part of the wider Grand Canyon tour which sets you back around $350 per person
