#2 Posted: 10/27/2009 6:27:50 PM Upset special of the week. Houston is soft and viewed too highly because they put up alot of points. I believe SoMiss will limit it's mistakes and out score Houston. Their talent matches up well.

#3 Posted: 10/28/2009 5:52:13 PM Home team has won 4 straight in this series, average loss by 6 points.. so Vegas has the # dead on. Imagine that. This is clearly the best talent Houston has fielded in years and this should be a shoot out... I would have to take Houston given the homefield edge but I think it's too close to call as for now.. watching the line for the week and see what happens. Sharp

#4 Posted: 10/28/2009 7:13:09 PM These conf. games are tough, I am not imrpessed with SoMiss the last 2 years the defense is gone and the QB is erratic. Thinking Keenum makes the difference, win and cover> |

You sir are correct.Davis hasnt played in the last 3 weeks going down in the UAB game and the backup " Young" has taken over.He seems to be doing the job so far and is should be getting comfortable by now. |

#8 Posted: 10/30/2009 1:29:34 PM I'll take HOUSTON here. They are 5-0 at home while So.Miss is 0-3 on the road (1-2 ATS). This contest also has the 45th ranked pass defense (So.Miss) against Case Keenum and the #2 ranked pass offense.
Houston has to put up points early so So.Miss can't work the clock and attach Houston's 115th ranked rush D. If Houston can create turnovers like they have all year (currently at +9, 7th in the nation) they should be able to win this one at home easily.
HOUSTON -6 |

#9 Posted: 10/30/2009 1:39:43 PM Houston has one flukey defensive collapse against UTEP, and now they are soft lol. If you take away the utep game, Houston's defense is allowing the fewest pts per game in over 10 yrs. UH avg's 41 pts and gives up 26 pts. Pretty stout. |

#12 Posted: 10/31/2009 3:31:38 AM Sou Miss cannot win on road. Ugly 3 games on the road all losses, even to lousy Lou. Houston is rolling again, they are great at Home. I cant believe this spread is less than a TD. Houston covers by at least 13.
Houston 33 - Sou Miss 20.

#13 Posted: 10/31/2009 4:29:42 AM Nothing much more to add to what the Houston backers already said on here and the fact that Houston really needs a victory here to possibly secure the C-USA West.
I'm looking for Houston to come out strong in the 1st half and to keep on pounding in the 3rd and 4th.
Houston at the half -4
Houston final -7
Aloha and good luck to all
Happy Halloween everyone

#14 Posted: 10/31/2009 9:43:53 AM Simply put, line value due to Houston's recent loss. Jump on it before it goes up. |
