As of now the line is at 9 and 123.5.  As soon as I saw this line I thought of the kansas st/mizzou game tonight that was 9 as well.  As most of you know, and those of you that dont, kansas and mizzou have their rematch this saturday.  IMO mizzou's loss is a prime example of the look ahead factor in college basketball.  Is mizzou the better team?  of course.. but tonight they werent.. and most of that plays into the fact that they have their biggest rival on deck.  Kansas has every reason to look passed A&M tomorrow....

  1. They have their biggest rival on deck
  2. They have sole possession of 1st place in the Big 12 with Mizzou losing tonight.. You know these kids see that and take a little sigh of relief.  If they lose, theyre back in the same position they were before... tied for 1st.
  3. A&M is one of the worst teams in the Big 12.

With that being said... A&M is one of the best defensive teams in the country at home.  Giving up just 58 ppg at home and allowing teams to shoot less than 39% from the field.  And dont forget.. they played kansas to a 10 pt game earlier in the year AT Allen Fieldhouse.  Kansas is clearly the better team.  In fact its not even close.  This is a classic trap game for Kansas.. I am not calling an upset.. But i feel comfortable taking A&M +9 in this game and this situation.  I have no play on the total as of now.. 123.5 is low for a Kansas line.. I do expect a slower.. grind it out game.  I dont think it will be very pretty.  Feel free to give me your opinions.. Im sure i am in the minority.  I am a kansas fan if that has anything to do with it... BOL on all of your plays

KU is something like 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games prior to the Missouri game.

Itd be nice to know ahead of time what they would be in their last 11 games.  New season.. and totally different teams

True, but you mention that a big reason you like A&M is because KU will be looking ahead and if you look at Self's teams in the past, they have not looked ahead.

Looking over this game myself and keep thinking about the fact Self will have his kids motivated after MU Lost tonight.  Self also does a good job of keeping his kids focused.  Still, not sure I could back KU in this spot as it's a brutal spot for them.

KSU won because their size bothered Mizzou. Does TAMU have bigs that can matchup with Withey and Robinson. This was no look ahead game for Mizzou.

Missouri shot way too many 3s.. 26 to be exact. thats nearly 50% of their fg attempts.  Call it size.. They just needed to run better offense.

Here is the article about their lack of size in the low post.
