#51 Posted: 12/3/2012 6:43:49 PM Update going into Week 14...
Teams I've used, in order:
Houston Cincinnati Chicago Baltimore NY Giants Atlanta San Francisco Green Bay San Diego Pittsburgh Dallas Denver New England
Disregard the tentative schedule on Page 1. One week at a time at this point.
---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ----------
Week 14 leans:
Cleveland Indianapolis Tampa Bay Seattle
Any thoughts are much appreciated, although you will be rewarded with nothing.
Started with over 200 players, 10 of us left.

#52 Posted: 12/3/2012 7:10:25 PM We only lost 1 person this week down to 12.
Only 1 of the remaining 12 has picked Seattle so far. I would think its similar in your pool. They will be the hot pick... I think I need to pick another team, have prob 8 people take Seattle and just pray for an upset.
What do you think Fade? |

#53 Posted: 12/3/2012 7:50:08 PM I completely agree, BigChris. Seattle might be primed for a letdown after their huge win in Chicago. Cleveland over KC seems like it could work. Chiefs just got a huge emotional win and have to deal with a lot of distractions this week. Indy almost seems too easy and I feel like you never know what Tennessee can bring to the table. Plus Indy is coming off a nice win as well. Tampa Bay will probably be the first team eliminated from my lean list just because I have no idea what to expect from Foles and he looked pretty damn good in preseason.
I have to look more into Seattle but I think they're my front runner so far, even though they'll definitely be the most popular pick. If they would have lost to Chicago yesterday, do you think the spread would still be -10.5 over Arizona?? |

#54 Posted: 12/3/2012 8:33:05 PM i'd say at least 8 vs AZ at home. If lindley starts again there won't be an upset no matter what. Seattle still in the game for the division and is 5-0 at home. The only shot with have in Skelton playing and the Cards pulling one out..
If Lindley plays i'll go with the Majority. If not I agree with you about Cleveland. KC won'twin again. They will be attending a funeral during the week.

#55 Posted: 12/8/2012 4:09:54 PM I put a lot of thought into Cleveland and the New York Jets... I just can't justify getting knocked out of my pool by picking Mark Sanchez or the Cleveland Browns. Once again, I may be making a mistake but I'm going with what I assume will be the majority this week. At least if I lose I can say I went down swinging instead of going down on an already half sunken ship.

Good Luck!!
I'm with Cleveland.
If Seattle wins I don't see this pool ending with only 1 winner. only 3 weeks left.
see you on the other side.

#57 Posted: 12/9/2012 12:52:30 PM Alright, BigChris... I like your logic. I've switched to Cleveland. If they can shut down Jamal Charles and get Trent Richardson going this should be open and shut. Let's do this!
Let the drinking begin. |

Our breakdown was
Me- Cleveland 1-Steelers LOSS!!! 10- Seattle....
Just as expected the Majority was on Seattle and actually at 4pm I put myself in a position to win the whole thing...That was all i wanted...besides a win of course. Arizona got the ball 1st and actually drove down to the 17 i think before a Skelton INT. And that was that... 58-0
I's rather it be a blowout then a game like Pitt-KC a few weeks ago..My chest was hurting that night.
Anyway I just seen you switched..I'm glad we didn't and especially cause you went with logic...
How many left in your pool?
Good job!! |

#62 Posted: 12/9/2012 11:52:22 PM My breakdown was similar:
Me - Cleveland 1 - TB - LOSS 1 - SF 7 - Seattle
So I was in a similar situation as you. Had SF and Seattle lost, I would've won. Thanks, Skelton.
So there's now 9 of us left.
My league is set up so it's really hard to split in the event of a tie at the end.
I have to double check the rules but I'm pretty sure we have to start picking 2 teams per week if there's more than 5 of us left going into week 16. The people who go 2-0 advance, obviously... If nobody goes 2-0 then the people who go 1-1 advance... And if everybody goes 0-2 then we chop the pot. But that's 2 weeks away...
I'm leaning Miami and Seattle in week 15 at first glance.

I really like Seattle this week as well, mostly because only 2 of us out of 9 people left have them available. They are not good on the road, however. All of the their losses came on the road although they do seem to be turning it on. The other thing that worries me is they have San Francisco next week and could be looking ahead to that huge game that may decide the division. I'm still up in the air here... |

#66 Posted: 12/15/2012 2:58:14 PM Just stating my opinion.
How can they be looking ahead?
I think they are thinking to roll on Sunday vs Buffalo and watch the Patriots beat the 49ers and then next week tey will be playing the 49ers for the division.

I hope you are right. It would be great for the NFL if it worked out that way. |

#73 Posted: 12/16/2012 7:00:51 PM BigChris, we are getting ZERO help! Had Miami lost, I would've won it all this week.
Onto week 16, lost 1 person this week (DET), 8 of us left.
