#32 Posted: 11/27/2011 11:02:21 PM QUOTEWhy lose respect for him because someone may want him?? Have you heard him say he wants to come back? Is it him on TV saying he wants to play? Maybe they talk about him because his LAST healthy year he threw 33 tds and 7 ints and beat the Packers twice..The same Packers that won the Super Bowl last year.... Look at the QB play in the NFL lately and tell me he still isnt in the top 10....

#34 Posted: 11/28/2011 12:19:07 PM ok....yes brett WAS a good qb and yes he did break all kinds of records and yes he probably would do better than some qbs now playing BUT if some1 plays as long as he did then eventually they would break records and win some games......guess what i am saying (just an opinion) for pro football he is too old.He has been hurt too many times and i think he done the right thing retiring (for good). I guess the reason i got sick of brett is because of the media.....all you could hear was....BRETT FAVRE.....BRETT FAVRE......BRETT FAVRE.......i hope he stays retired and that way he will be remembered as 1 of the greatest qb of all time, instead of coming back to nfl and playing crappy and being remembered for that.......as for the games whichever way you decide gl |

#36 Posted: 11/28/2011 12:36:35 PM The commish will not let Favre back into the league. After the texting scandal he told Brett he cannot play anymore. David Stern made MJ retire for a year and a half after the gambling scandal and his fathers death. Instead of the commish publicly suspending the players they give the guys the option to retire and the public doesn't know the truth. MLB didn't give Bonds a chance when he still wanted to play. My point is the league can shut out a guy without it having to be public. |

#38 Posted: 11/28/2011 1:17:31 PM just woke up and haven't seen anything this morning... what's the deal with Leinhart? is he done for the year?
if the Texans have to start TJ Yates, they will not only not win another game this year... they won't score another TD this year (at least, not with their offense)...
Houston would instantly become of the 10 worst teams in football...

i agree with this... if they sign Favre, they are guaranteeing that they will be out of the playoffs early... i'm not a Favre-hater... but that's just reality!

Leinhart's done for the year. Rumors about Favre are just that & don't see it happening. Devastating for a top 3 tm in the league imo with Schaub even w/o Mario Williams. My guess is they'll go after Jeff Garcia, Delhomme or possibly Trent Edwards, none of who can get 'em deep in the playoffs but maybe to a division title & homefield advantage. Damn shame for Hou fans & the whole organization - |

#41 Posted: 11/28/2011 8:00:16 PM I disagree Ice..I think that Houston may be able to beat the Chiefs with Yates, so that would be one win..I think the Houston running game and defense is good enough to beat the Chiefs.. Houston's defense has been playing well this season, and without Schaub any dreams of a deep playoff run or Super Bowl are obviously gone..And saying Houston will not score an offensive touchdown the rest of the way is close to true, but with that offensive line and running game there's no way that can happen.. Bottom line, Houston's season was over the minute Schaub went down anyway..
