#52 Posted: 12/24/2011 3:48:30 PM I'd rather keep Snider than Drabek. A lot of pop in that bat. Snider is younger than Drabek too.

It's only a year or two difference. I just don't like Drabek.
The Jays need to acquire a #2 starter. Garza is the perfect guy. He'll eat up around 200 innings and has a mid 90's fastball. He reminds me of Morrow.
1. Romero 2. ?????? 3. Morrow 4. Alverez 5. ??????
The real shame is Dustin McGowan. I feel for the kid.

Bit of a short-sighted comment here. He's had some pretty long stretches of good baseball in the majors already.
His career numbers are actually very similar to Colby Rasmus, (.248 vs. .251 BA, .423 vs. 432 SLG) and he's 2 years younger. I'm not sure why Rasmus is penciled in as an everyday player for next year and Snider is suddenly seen as an expendable trade throw-in.

#58 Posted: 12/27/2011 4:10:45 PM The Jays are showing interest in Roy Oswalt since he recently said he'd except a 1 year deal. I prefer Garza. Edwin Jackson also in the mix.
Back to Fielder. Texas and Seattle look to be the favs at this point. I don't understand why the Indians aren't throwing their hat into the ring. Matt LaPorta stinks and they are looking at Carlos Pena. The Indians have a lot of quality young ball players. I think he would be an excellent addition and make a huge statement to the city of Cleveland and to major league baseball. When Cleveland was winning the Jake was packed.

#59 Posted: 12/27/2011 5:17:33 PM I am sticking to what I said before. I don't see any way how some team gives that fat behind a 6-7 year deal. Certainly not an NL team.

Agreed! He is destined to DH full time.
