I DO!!! I DO!!!

The Nats bats did nothing in Chicage except for Desmond and Laroche. Werth did zero, Zimmerman 1 lousy hit.

The Mets are healthy, David Wright had a bid weekend, we can play these guys at a pick'em or better untill the key players all wind up on the DL again, which is a given.

The game is a straight pick'em  right now. any Edwin Jackson start can go either way, same goes for Pelfrey though.

7.39 1 3 0 0 6 6 0 28.0 42 25 23 3 13 16 .341

LIne opened at edwin at -120. Now Pelfrey is -106 favorite. This line will keep moving until game time. Pelfrey was 1-3 witha 7.39 era last year in April. Although he was 0-1 vs Washington last year, he opnly gave up 3 runs in 11.1 innings pitched. Mets are a much better team offensively. They are actually getting hits with runners in scoring position. Jackson got rocked by the mets last year at home as a Cardinal 5 innings pitched 9 hits, 5 runs 4 BB and got pulled with 94 pitches. This mets team will do much more damage if he pitches like that. Jackson pitching for another team with a much worse offense, will not help at all. He is not a good pitcher when he falls behind. Jackson was 2-3 with a 5.86 ERA in April last year with a .303 OBA.

Mets last year were bad with runners on, but this year they are producing a little better. I like their chances vs jackson. He has a career WHIP of 1.48, which means he will walk batters, period.

Washington made Samardzija look like an ace today, they rallied and came up short vs a horrible bullpen. Their bats are comming up short. The only ppl producing on Washington are Desmond and laroche. Their record means nothing to me...they beat Chicago, one of the worst teams in all of baseball. If Chicago had even a slightly decent bullpen...they would have won all 3 against the Nats.

Pelfrey gave up 0 earned runs in one game against washington last year but still got the loss because mets did not score. That was typical mets last year. This is NOT the same team as last year. The mets will put up at least 5 runs on Jackson. They are showing heart, it will probably die down later once they start losing a few games, but right now they are riding a high. David Wright is feeling great, He is 6 RBIs away from passing Darrel Strawberrys franchise record. If pelfrey can go 6 innings strong an only give up 2-3 runs, the Mets will go 4-0.

The only thing that I recall from the Mets last year was they were easy over bets early in the season because their bullpen sucked.

Yeah, different story this year. Bullpen is doing their job. They used to blow every lead. I think Pelfrey will be ready, while Jackson gets rocked early. He has a ring, he doesnt care anymore...washington cant win the WS, he knows that.

I pretty sure he's on a one year contract, he's played for how many teams now? He needs a good yr to sucker someone for a multi-year deal, who says he ends the season in Washington.

you should read the mlb preview for this game, pelphrey had a terrible spring and so did jackson. mets really wanted to cut pelphrey, they will probably cut him if he sucks behind tomorrow. take the over

lol, yeah he has pitched for everyone. When he is pitching good, he pitches good, but the mets garbage offense blasted him last year in Sept. when they were really out of the playoff race and were playing with no heart against a way better team. This scenario heavily favors the mets.

Yes, I read the preview. If I went by the previews today I would be broke. Pelfrey has a lot to prove and he will show up 2morrow. Great team to pitch against to get some clout. Washington will not win by scoring 3 runs because Jackson will give up more. I cant bet the over, i hate o,u i dont know the umpires or the wind factor.

I like the Mets also, I mean Pelfrey isn't an ace by any means, but Jackson can be hit hard at times.. He's hit or miss. The Mets offense seems to be stepping it up too, and now that they shortened the fences I'm looking for Wright to go back to hitting 30+ homers again, if he stays healthy and we all know that's a big if. Lucas Duda looks like he might be primed for a breakout year.

If I was betting this game I'd take the Mets -105.

Like the over, think at least one of the pitchers will be hammered and the other will be good for a couple at least...GL
