The movie which is about a man trying to rescue his wife from the hands of an evil plantation owner also stars other big names including Samuel L. Jackson, Sacha Baron Cohen and Kurt Russell.

The movie is said to be inspired by not only the 1966 movie Django, directed by Sergio Corbucci, but also the unorthodox 2007 Japanese remake by director Takashi Miike, called Sukiyaki Western Django, which featured Tarantino in a cameo as a character named Ringo.

This film should be really good.  Would've been more badass if Will Smith played the part of Django like it was originally planned.

Is it a comedy? Cause J Foxx is a clown.

I can't take the guy seriously either.  Everytime I see him in a serious role, I can't help but think of Wanda from "In Living Color."

He was good in Ray and Any Given Sunday, but other then that I agree. I have yet to see a Tarantino film that I didnt like. He has a way of getting the most from actors. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Tarantino rarely disappoints.  I cant take Foxx seriously either.  He was pretty funny as guy Jones in Horrible Bosses though

Love the old 60's/70's drive-in and foreign
films that inspired Tarantino.  This should be
great.  Will be curious to see what his next
project will be.

The opening scene in Inglorious person was brilliant, the rest of the movie..meh
