I don't play many 'so called' trap games but when I do and if I am with the public, it RARELY ends like the game tonight. Not saying I always win on them bc that would be a lie but I do win on lines I feel is lower than it should be more times than not. Again, you were the winner tonight but gambling is an up and down thing to do... K State showed up tonight, Kansas did NOT, it happens. All I do is try to win more than lose, which is OBVIOUS for anyone and thankfully I won the other 2 games tonight (Syracuse & Portland NBA). I actually felt Syracuse line was a little low too as I did with Kansas when I capped them, this is why I took both teams. I will play the 2 or 3 games I cap with the largest difference on all the games I get detailed into and cap.

All I'm trying to get at is I have won more than I've lost on these KU-K.State type of lines each and every year. Again, I always look at the TEAM whom I put my money on. What I don't understand is if you're 50% on trap games ... why do you seem to come off as there is $$$ to be made there? Again, personally, I look at lines and the TEAM who I bet on to start with, then go into more detail if I am to actually follow through with the bet. I usually keep the games I bet on each night around 2 - 3 to begin with, so I do not bet much on 'trap' games.
Alot of truth telling and insight in this post.. The last couple of years "trap games" have been a 50-50 coin flip at best.. In fact this year the true "trap games" are not hitting .. Any local book worth his salt is crying this year about the obvious games hitting at a profitable rate.. ie both St Johns and Zona hit yesterday.. Both so called "trap games".. Difference is when the trap game hits its big news for the line players and they roll out I told you so rhetoric.. If the "public" team hits you are just a square winner..  IMO better games to look over then just bucking the trap trend.. Bucking the trap games of the last couple of years has lead to a 50-50 result and a whole lot of games where the trap player is watching a landslide loser (ie Texas vs A&M)  Plus most times unlike last night the "sharp" side is usually always a nailbiter.. Got to pick your spots and just not bet the trap plays or you will be bald and broke before its all over..

I have no idea if those games were true "trap" games.  "Trap" games have a high percentage of the "public" betting on one side while a small amount of people with DEEP POCKETS bets the otherside.

Quick lessons:  Try not to take the road favorite in a rivalry game.  Also, save bigger plays for the perfect scenario plays, like good teams coming off losses or several straight ATS losses.  Was a tough game to figure with movement the Jayhawks way.  I'm glad it was a no play for me.
