#1 Posted: 10/4/2012 3:45:54 PM I got a buddy that put in a wager yesterday on Oakland to win the Al West at 10-1. I was just wondering if it should be counted as a win or if he shouldnt even been able to bet it. By the way I am friends with both him and his bookie. |

#2 Posted: 10/4/2012 3:49:10 PM The local lets him get his lines from a site and as long as the lines are in before the game takes place then the bet is good. |

#5 Posted: 10/4/2012 4:04:33 PM Yeah it was Al west bc the only teams were the Angels/Mariners/Oak/Tex in the picture he sent me and you can also see it says 2012 Al west division-odds to win and only has odds on the rangers n A's |

#8 Posted: 10/4/2012 4:53:28 PM Should be a mistake line then. Any player who is with a certain book/bookie shouldn't take advantage of a situation like that...doesn't mean anything good on either side. Everything should be fair. If your friend saw a bookie make that long and knew it was wrong...he should say something...if not things could get into a heated argument or get ugly. The wager should be cancelled. What I don't understand is how does the bookie not know? |

#9 Posted: 10/4/2012 5:19:48 PM Yeah thats what I wanted to get someone elses opinion before I told him to count it or not. I told him that he should discuss it with him what they think and go from there but what I dont get is the line is pretty high but if you pull the odds up, in the top left corner it says updated 10-3-12: Odds to win the Al West Division and got all the teams in the division in it but only got odds on the rangers who were im pretty sure 7-2 and oakland who was 10-1. |
