Columbia @ Harvard -14.5:  Harvard actually played a really good game yesterday, but Cornell played unbelievable.  As Harvard's assistant Coach tweeted, "VERY proud of our effort.  We played our behind off.  Cornell's experience and 12-23 3PT shooting too much to overcome.  Awesome atmosphere."  Well said.  The home crowd will still be sweet tonight, and I'd like to think that they come back well from yesterday and take out their aggression on someone.  Unfortunately, the fact that Columbia lost to Dartmouth last night takes a lot of the value out of this one, since they should be a little angry about that and ought to come out hungry tonight.  Had they lost, they would've already achieved their "goal" for the weekend of earning a split and possibly been in a soft mental spot and ripe for Harvard.  Instead, they feel like they have unfinished business, they're embarrassed about their play yesterday, and all of that will probably make me lay off.

Yale @ Penn -3:  In case you haven't gotten this yet, this Penn team is probably the toughest team in the league to figure out.  Unless I have a really good read on a game (like yesterday's Penn-Brown game), I've been avoiding them for the most part.  So this is one of those games I'm avoiding.  The general numbers point to Yale, as does Penn's injury/fatigue situation that comes into play especially on the back end of these back-to-backs.  But Penn actually does match up pretty well with Yale because of Yale's shooting problems / interior-focused style of offense and its motion offense.  If the threes all falling, Penn can and will win this game.  I'm staying away completely, but if I had to pick I might even pick Penn today.

Brown @ Princeton -14.5:  Princeton continues to be incredibly impressive.  In a take-care-of-business game yesterday against Yale, they took care of business game in a big way.  They put together their best offensive game of the season by faaar, playing a near perfect game on that end of the floor.  It's actually their defense that was mediocre yesterday, allowing Yale to shoot so great.  But as consistent as their D has been all year, you can expect a defensive bounce-back today.  Their shooting will also come back to earth a bit today from its crazy-good level yesterday, but that doesn't mean they won't continue to stroke it pretty well.  Brown, for its part, played a fantastic game at Penn yesterday keyed by great three-point shooting.  When they shoot well, they can stay in a game with anyone.  I'm wouldn't consider going against Princeton in another take-care-of-business game (before the showdown for the league at Cornell next week), especially when I expect their defense to cause Brown serious problems, but I also don't want to lay this many points against a Brown team that's underrated and playing pretty well.

So there you have it, some quick mini-writeups.  It's not the usual effort, but hopefully it'll give you something to go on if you're looking at any of these games.
