#1 Posted: 2/29/2012 1:47:13 PM I like to bet against the public in these tournaament games...I believe most people dont know much about the teams and they just want action...First game I had Vmi and the line moved 1-1.5 pts against them...Will use the same theory here and take Campbell....Good luck everyone |

#6 Posted: 2/29/2012 1:56:52 PM I think the reason the line moved is because Campbell's leading scorer is out for the game. |

This may actually mean Campbell is the play. They have a few other scorers and Winthrop just isn't a good team. They haven't been consistent all year.

I don't understand your logic. Campbell's best player is out and you still think Campbell is the play? |

One of those situations where the other players step up. They have a few other scorers. They don't rely on one guy.

#15 Posted: 2/29/2012 2:15:43 PM I'm laying off though because I still don't know enough about either team to feel comfortable betting them.

I'm on Winthrop, but this is often very true.
See: Florida State-Miami on Sunday.

I swear I have bought back at least 4 games this season when a leading scorer was ruled out before tip. And I am serious when I say all of them covered handily, never would have even sweated it. I thought it was just strange but it hasn't failed this season. But I'll still lay off games where their top guy is out. My luck ill test my theory next game and they'll get run out of the building.

That's a good point. I took Winthrop in the 1H, hopes it pans out. |

I hear you. I've done the same thing, and 9 out of 10 times I regretted it.

#24 Posted: 2/29/2012 2:44:17 PM You were right on Coastal 70% of the money was on them, nice call with VMI, only 26% of the money on WInthrop on 3,800 plus wagers. Campell is the public play here, the old RLM (Reverse Line Movement) at play. |
